“My toes have changed colour, and they’re really itchy.”
That’s something I hear at Optima Podiatry when colder weather arrives.
Patients often haven’t changed their thin footwear yet. Then they get home and warm cold feet against a radiator.
With chilblains, gradual warming matters.
Our new blog covers warm socks, suitable shoes and insulating insoles. It also explains when sore toes need checking.
If the skin breaks, arrange a prompt assessment.
