🌿 A little care for your back…

In this reel, I’m working gently along the erector spinae muscles — the muscles that run either side of your spine, helping you stand tall, maintain your posture and bend and move throughout the day.

When these muscles are working hard, everyday stress, prolonged sitting and physical activity can leave them feeling tight and tired. Massage helps encourage relaxation, ease muscular tension and give your body a little time to slow down and unwind. 🤍

✨ 30-minute back massage — £35
✨ 60 minute full body massage — £55

Lovely to have Helen in the room this evening for a massage 💆‍♀️✨

✨ Northern Networks FHT Meeting – Lisburn ✨

A lovely Friday evening connecting with fellow complementary therapists, sharing experiences, knowledge and ideas — and getting some valuable CPD along the way. 💆‍♀️🌿

I was lucky enough to receive a beautiful mini reflexology treatment from Ruth Johnston, founder & Principal of Body & Sole School of Complementary Therapies where the network meet 5 times a year🦶💗

Rosie also gave us a wonderful demonstration of a hand & arm massage — with some great reminders and techniques to take away and use in practice.

Always learning, always developing. 🌿✨

✨ Reflexology at Room for Calm ✨

The big toe is traditionally associated in reflexology with the head, brain, face, neck and surrounding muscles.

In this video, you can see me working through part of this area during a treatment. As I work different reflex points, areas may feel more tight, sensitive or textured beneath the fingers. In reflexology, these are viewed as areas that may benefit from a little more focused attention.

By spending more time on these points, the aim is to encourage relaxation, balance and the body’s natural ability to restore itself. 🌿

Always learning, always growing 🌿

On Saturday I tuned into Botanica 2026, deep-diving into Lavandula (lavender) to keep my CPD up to date and ensure my complementary therapy practice continues to reflect current knowledge and best practice. Botanica brings together international experts to explore everything from the plant’s botany and sustainability to the latest research and clinical applications. 🌸

Every course helps me bring even more informed, thoughtful care to my clients at Room for Calm. 💜

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is slow down. 🌿

There’s nothing better than seeing a client completely relaxed after a reflexology session at Room for Calm. Taking just one hour for yourself can help you switch off, unwind, and leave feeling refreshed.

✨ Reflexology – £50 per session

If you’ve been feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or simply in need of some time to reset, I’d love to welcome you.
