As we approach the end of our first year running clinics out of the Bolerno Centre (and Bishopton Health Centre), we continue to see many patients arrive for their appointments in the wrong building. This inevitably leads to the remainder of appointments in our clinics running late. This is courteous reminder to please listen carefully to the location of your appointment, when making it, and that, should you arrive late for your appointment, then it is at the discretion of the affected clinician as to whether or not you will still be seen that day.

Please note, both Bishopton Medical Practice and the Bolerno centre will be closed on Monday 28th of September for a public holiday. We will re-open as normal on Tuesday 29th September at 8.30 am. Please note that due to a severe flooding incident, the Bolerno Centre has had to be closed now, and for the remainder of the day today (Tuesday 11/08/2026). Bolerno will re-open at 08:30 tomorrow (Wenesday 12/08/2026) morning.

We are now looking to recruit a new member of staff for our Reception team. The hours are 22.5hrs/week, Monday thru Friday 13:30 till 18:00 each day Please hand in/email ([email protected]) CV and cover letter FAO Lynn McFarlane, Assistant Practice Manager. Previous GP Practice experience is useful, but not essential as all training will be delivered in-house. The closing date for applications is Thursday 3rd September 2026

Due to unexpected GP absence today we are operating with only one Duty Dr. All requests for the emergency 'on the day' appointments will be triaged by our emergency duty GP, with those patients most urgently needing to be seen given priority. Please be mindful, therefore, that our Reception team may be asked by our GP to call you back, and rearrange your appointment.

We are now looking to expand our Clinical Admin team. The permanent Clinical Administrator post is for 16 hours per week, comprising 8 hours on a Friday, and the other 8 hours to be determined based on the successful candidate. Previous experience in a Medical Secretary role would be advantageous but not essential. All training required will be provided for by the Practice.
