URGENT PATIENT NOTICE 🚨

The Practice is currently experiencing a loss of running water.
Due to strict NHS clinical safety, hygiene and infection control regulations, we cannot operate a normal service at this time. We are working urgently with engineering teams to resolve this issue.

We are currently triaging all appointment requests. This means you may be offered a telephone consultation instead of a face to face appointment.

We appreciate your understanding and will update you as soon as possible.

In Scotland, children and young people in primary and secondary school are being offered the flu vaccine. Given as a nasal spray, it’s quick and just feels like a tickle in their nose.

On Wednesday the 7th of October between 12:30 -18:00, all practice staff will be partaking in essential training, our phone line will only be open for medical emergency's during this time. We will re-open as normal at 08:00am on the 8th of October 2026.

🤒 Unsure if you need to call NHS 24?

Knowing who to contact when you are unwell helps you get the right care quickly. The 111 phone service is there to support you when you need urgent medical help but it is not an emergency.

WHEN TO CALL 111:

- Your GP surgery or dentist is closed and you are too ill to wait until they reopen
- You think you need to go to minor injuries but are unsure
- You need urgent mental health support and advice

Remember that the 111 service is busiest in the evenings and over the weekend. Please be patient, our team will be with you as soon as they can.

NHS Lothian has partnered with Place2Be for over a decade to help support children and young people's wellbeing, and now, a new resource is available through this partnership. Starting in November, parents and carers of 4–11-year-olds across Lothian can access a course offering practical advice on supporting their child’s wellbeing and navigating a range of common parenting challenges from meltdowns to bullying, from friendship issues to encouraging resilience.
