There's a lot of planning going on behind the scenes at Bladnoch Botanics this week!

Shelving, sinks, taps, water heaters and all sorts of other things have been ordered for the new workshop at Duncan Park in Wigtown.

I'm particularly excited about the possibility of having regular refill days, where you could bring your own containers and top up your favourite hand washes, body washes and lotions.

I'd love to hear your thoughts. Would you use a local refill service? And is there anything else you'd like to see me offer from the new premises?

It's a lovely opportunity to develop Bladnoch Botanics further, and I'd really welcome your suggestions!

Some exciting news from Bladnoch Botanics!

I'm delighted to share that we are moving to new, bigger premises at Duncan Park in Wigtown!

The new premises will give me much more space for making, bottling and storing products, but I'm also hoping to do something a little different.

One of my plans is to open up one or two days a week for refills, so customers can bring along their own containers and refill their favourite Bladnoch Botanics products, or collect larger volume containers.

I start moving in on Monday 2nd November, and there's plenty to do before everything is up and running, but I'm really looking forward to this next chapter.

I'll share updates as everything starts to come together!

What a stormy weekend! We spent most of it indoors, sheltering from the wind. A couple of short power cuts, but thankfully nothing that lasted too long here.

This week is going to be a particularly busy and exciting one for Bladnoch Botanics. There are lots of plans to make, equipment to order and preparations underway for a big change next week!

I'll share more in the next couple of days, but for now, it's back to the ever-growing to-do list!

And just like that, the October school holidays are coming to an end!

We've spent a lovely, relaxing week on Skye, enjoying some family time and plenty of fresh air.

It certainly hasn't been warm, but the sun has made an appearance (some of the time anyway!), and we've made the most of being outdoors, walking, boating and enjoying the beautiful scenery.

I love the open skies, being beside the sea and the wonderful landscape of Skye. There's something very inspirational about spending time surrounded by nature.

A change of plans for this weekend!

I was looking forward to being back at Kirkcudbright Farmers' Market tomorrow, but unfortunately it's been cancelled due to the forecast high winds.

With Storm Austen being followed by Storm Boelo, and an amber weather warning for Saturday evening into Sunday morning, it looks like we're in for a rather wild weekend!

It's disappointing that the market has been cancelled, but completely understandable given the forecast. Hopefully everyone stays safe and avoids the worst of the weather.

Autumn always makes me think of apples, brambles and the lovely scents of the countryside at this time of year!

Our Apple & Bramble fragrance was inspired by memories of my father, making it one that's particularly special to me.

It's a lovely way of bringing a little of the Galloway countryside into your home, and feels just right for this time of year.

There's something about autumn that makes me reach for warmer, more comforting fragrances!

Our Bergamot & Ginger is one of my favourites at this time of year, combining fresh, uplifting citrus with the gentle warmth of ginger.

It's a lovely fragrance for the cooler months and has also proved a popular choice with our hospitality customers.

How are we halfway through the school holidays already?!

It's lovely to have some family time and a slightly slower pace, although there's always something going on behind the scenes at Bladnoch Botanics!

I've been doing plenty of thinking and planning for the months ahead. Lots of ideas, exciting opportunities and plenty to look forward to!

I'm delighted to share that the Rowan & Bracken Hand Wash and Hand Lotion will now be stocked at Galloway Distillery!

This fragrance was developed especially for the distillery, with their input on the botanicals they use in their gin.

I really enjoyed the challenge of creating something a little different, bringing together the character of their gin with the natural inspiration of the Galloway landscape.

The result is a wonderfully distinctive, gin-inspired fragrance, and I've been so pleased with the lovely feedback it's received so far.

It's always a pleasure to work with other local businesses, and I'm particularly proud of this collaboration!

I have made another batch of the Seaweed & Aloe Vera Nourishing Cream.

I completely sold out during Wigtown Book Festival, which was lovely, although it meant I had a few orders to catch up on.

The new batch is now ready, those orders have been fulfilled, and I have plenty of jars available again. They are proving very popular though, so don't leave it too long if you'd like one.
