🤕 I’m sorry to let you know that the clinic is temporarily closed due to a thumb injury that needs time to heal. Current patients should by now have received an email.

This has been a really difficult decision, but despite trying to continue to work with a reduced diary, it has become clear that I need to give it some proper time to allow recovery and avoid a longer-term issue.

I will still be available by phone or email if you need any advice or guidance and am currently expecting to be back in the first week of December, though will keep you updated on here as I know more.

Thank you so much for your patience, understanding and continued support and for the lovely messages I have received already.

🧋🧊 First time giving iced protein coffee a try!

It was the perfect time to try it, being hot 🥵 needing some hydration and definitely a bit of fuelling before the gym this morning!

I used:
- Form vanilla protein powder
- Oatly milk
- Ice
- 2 x shots of expresso
- Dash of Maple Crest maple syrup

It was really easy and quick to drink and felt much better having something in my system this morning.

The maple syrup gave a few extra carbohydrates as well as improving the taste and I grabbed a banana to take with me to add a few more 🍌

Happy with this one and would do again!

Slipper checklist you should know 🧦

❄️ Winter often means cosy slippers but wearing the right ones can do more than warm your toes, keeping feet and joints a little happier 🦶🏻

Here are some things to look for:

✅ A heel cup (not mules). Having a closed back helps keep your foot in place. We don’t always have perfect gait walking round the house, but let’s keep the shuffling to a minimum, a heel cup helps prevent this and gives extra stability.

✅ A non-slip sole can help prevent trips, slips and falls

✅ Some structure or arch support can help if this is something you find helpful in your regular day to day shoes and with certain foot conditions. If you can’t find a specific orthotic pair you can always pop an orthotic in a regular pair as I have here.

✅ Cushioning - soft but supportive padding absorbs some of the impact of walking on hard floors

Remember if you need specific advice you can always ask your local podiatrist. 👍🏻

Good slippers are more than just fluffy but can really help with all those indoor everyday steps! 👣

I really believe one of the best ways to make progress with your health (physical and mental), pain, injury or ability is to learn.

🧠 Learn about the body. Learn about your OWN individual body. Be curious, take an interest in yourself, learn what works and apply it in a way that works for you.

🤷🏼‍♀️ After all you will know yourself better than anyone else! No one can do that bit for you.

🪷 Want what you would want for your closest friends and family. I am assuming this is good things! 😛 Be the one that fights for you! Your future self definitely wants you to pay attention. Visualise them just off in the distance, on the horizon crossing their fingers🤞😆

THINGS CAN ALWAYS CHANGE FOR THE BETTER
