Got an unused laptop lying around? Donate it β€” and change someone's story πŸ’»

ReTec is a used-laptop recycling project run by Wokingham Lions and First Days, with the assistance of Wokingham Borough Libraries.

Here's how it works: 🦁 Wokingham Lions collect and refurbish the laptops 🏠 First Days provide the premises and oversee distribution πŸ“š Wokingham Libraries act as drop-off and collection points

Refurbished items go to families and individuals facing financial hardship.

If you have an unused but working laptop β€” preferably one that came with Windows 7 or later β€” please consider donating it. You can drop items off at Wokingham, Lower Earley or Woodley Libraries, along with any power supplies, mice or laptop bags.

All laptops are completely cleaned, refurbished and tested, with hard discs securely erased before use.
