Wow ... the autumnal colours here on a friend's table .... what a beautiful display. Autumn... the time when our trees show us how easy it is to give away what's no longer serving us. Are you able to do the same ..... or maybe feeling a little 'stuck' in your situation?

Feeling & learning from painful experiences ............

When a crow finds another crow lying lifeless, it often does not just fly away.

It calls out. Other crows gather. They become alert. They watch the area carefully.

Scientists have studied this behavior, sometimes called a ā€œcrow funeral,ā€ and what they’ve found is striking. The crows do not appear to gather out of sentimentality in the human sense. They gather to learn. They look for danger. They try to understand what happened. And if they identify a threat, they remember it.

Crows are highly intelligent. They can recognize faces, remember risks, and warn others. So when they gather around a fallen crow, they may be doing something deeply adaptive: turning loss into awareness, and awareness into protection.

There is something important in that.

Many humans are taught to look away from what is painful. To avoid it. To numb themselves. But crows do something else. They pay attention. They investigate. They learn together.

That is a form of intelligence.

Not just mental intelligence, but social intelligence.

The kind that understands survival is not only about individual strength, but about shared awareness. About noticing danger. About communicating it. About helping the group become wiser because one life was lost.

Maybe that is part of what emotional intelligence really is too.

Not collapsing in the face of pain.
Not ignoring it.
But staying present enough to learn from it, and caring enough to make that knowledge useful to others.

A fallen crow does not go unnoticed.

The others gather.
They pay attention.
And they carry the lesson forward.

I'm recovering from years of chronic pain with the help of two intuitive, amazing & skilled practitioners. Conventional medicine wasn't a solution. Happy now to see the sun rise every morning.... in fact excited by it. But for sometime it was the polarisation. I get the trauma of chronic pain. I also know there's usually a solution - however, it can take time.
If you or a loved one is suffering please get in touch .... at least for a chat about how this may help you .....

A year today our children's dad chose to take his life. He'd suffered both mentally and physically too for a while. Obviously for those he left, the months have been extremely difficult.
I know from experience how awkward it can feel to seek help or comfort from others while you're in dark spaces, lonely places. Feeling like a burden; a weight on others.
But, please stop and think - if this is YOU right now & you're really struggling ......
What would YOU do if the tables were turned?
You'd support.
You'd comfort.
You'd do your best to help your friend to a better place.
So .... please don't suffer alone - tell a friend or family member. Feel vulnerable - BUT DO IT.
Most of us don't talk openly about this .... the heavy stuff.
However, we're ALL touched by it at some point during our lives..... depression, self harm, su***de.
If this IS you, you may feel completely alone - BUT YOU'RE NOT.
Here if needed.....

I was visiting my son last week and popped to his local shop. As I left my car, I noticed a young man parked in front of me, alone, getting from his driver's seat into his wheelchair. I did my shopping and returned to my car. The man was still adjusting into his chair and hadn't yet moved. As I passed him, we smiled warmly at one another.
I drove off, but thoughts of the encounter stayed with me for some time. I questioned whether I truly appreciate my health and my ability to move freely. Do we, as often as possible, appreciate our lives - whatever circumstances we find ourselves in? We never know what's coming next, but I suspect a lot of us don't truly appreciate our capabilities or health. I realise very much through experience that life can be extremely difficult at times - but maybe we should take stock more often. Be thankful we're here & appreciate just what we do have in this moment.

I want to stay real here during our Festive season - we all go through 'life stuff'; some manageable but some which leads us down a dark path where we can get very stuck. I've had suicidal thoughts in the past - due to ongoing pain issues. I got stuck. I chose the homeopathic route to bring me back to a healthy state of mind. We don't talk enough about this - we shy away from it. These thoughts aren't unusual or uncommon to us.
If you - or any family member or friend is struggling at the moment - please get in touch.
Homeopathy will help - & if you or they are financially struggling it doesn't matter.....
Treatment is available here .....
