A massive thank you to our fantastic clinical and admin teams who worked so hard over the weekend to vaccinate another 550 members of our Broseley community against flu and COVID-19!🎉

Your hard work, teamwork and dedication are helping protect our patients as we head into the winter months, and we couldn't do it without you! 💙

📢 Haven't booked your vaccination yet? Don't worry!

The good news is that we’ll be running additional midweek clinics over the coming months for those who haven’t been able to attend our weekend clinics.

We’re also running pneumococcal, shingles and RSV vaccination clinics, so if you’re eligible for any of these vaccinations, please make sure you get in touch with the practice to arrange an appointment.

📢 Update: Community Wellbeing Vehicle

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances and staff sickness, the Community Wellbeing Vehicle was unable to attend Broseley Medical Practice yesterday. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

They have confirmed that all future visits are planned to go ahead as scheduled. We know many of you find this a valuable service, and we appreciate your understanding and continued support. 💚

Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to welcoming them back at their next visit!

We were delighted to welcome the Mental Health Vehicle to our community again over the last few weeks, and it was wonderful to see so many people stopping by for a chat and finding out more about the support available. 💙

💉💙 A HUGE WELL DONE TO OUR TEAM! 💙💉

We’re delighted to share that we held our first successful Flu and COVID-19 vaccination clinic of the autumn/winter season on Saturday, vaccinating over 800 patients registered at Broseley Medical Practice in just one morning! 👏🎉

With four clinically trained staff members working alongside our lovely administration team, we think this is an incredible achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone involved. 🥰

Our clinics are a vital part of our yearly winter immunisation campaign, helping protect our eligible patients and wider community during the colder months. Although these sessions are extremely busy, we believe they provide a valuable service to our patients, and we really appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation.

💚 Carer's Need Support Too 💚
Caring for a loved one can be incredibly rewarding, but carer's need time to recharge too.
Crowsmill Craft Centre provides weekly respite sessions offering a safe, friendly and engaging environment for individuals living with dementia, while their carer's take a well-earned break.
📅 Every Thursday
⏰ 10:30am–1:30pm
📍 Bridgnorth Rugby Club
The sessions are designed to promote wellbeing, confidence and enjoyment through relaxed, meaningful activities in a welcoming environment.
The sessions give carers an opportunity to take some time for themselves, whether that means catching up with friends, running errands, enjoying some quiet time or simply taking a well-deserved break.
💚 Supporting the person living with dementia while supporting the carer too.

Flu vaccination appointments at the practice will begin in October for eligible patients.

🤰 Pregnant women
👶 Children aged 2 & 3 years
🏫 School-aged children from Reception to Year 11
❤️ Children at increased risk from flu

Getting vaccinated helps protect you, your family and those around you from serious illness this winter. 💙

📅 Eligible? Keep an eye out for your invitation and make sure you book your vaccination when contacted.

🚨 IMPORTANT PRESCRIPTION NOTICE 🚨

We are currently receiving a high number of calls about emergency prescription requests.

Please be aware that our prescription processing time is now 72 hours, rather than the previous 48 hours.

❗ The practice is unable to process requests sooner than this. Please do not call the practice asking for your prescription to be expedited.

💊 Need your medication before the 72-hour processing time?

1️⃣ Submit your prescription request to the practice as normal.

2️⃣ Contact NHS 111 by calling 111 or using NHS 111 online.

3️⃣ NHS 111 can assess your request and, where appropriate, arrange an emergency supply of medication for collection from your chosen pharmacy.

📅 Please plan ahead!

We recommend ordering your repeat prescriptions at least ONE WEEK before your medication is due to run out. This allows enough time for both the practice and pharmacy to process your prescription.

📞 Please note: Calls and queries to the practice regarding emergency prescriptions will be redirected to NHS 111, as this is the appropriate service for emergency medication requests.

By using the right service, you can help us keep our telephone lines available for patients who need appointments, urgent clinical advice and other enquiries that can only be dealt with by the practice.
