Who am I trusting with my face?

When it comes to aesthetic treatments, choosing your practitioner is about so much more than the treatment itself.
Before you book, ask yourself:

👩‍⚕️ Do I trust the person treating me?
Are they appropriately qualified, experienced and someone I feel comfortable putting my face in the hands of?

👂 Do I feel listened to, do I feel informed, and not sold to?
A good consultation should be a conversation. Your concerns, expectations and what you actually want should be heard — not simply followed by a list of treatments you could have.

You should have the time and information to make a decision that feels right for you. Sometimes the right advice might even be to wait, do less, or choose a different approach.

Aftercare matters. You should know what to expect, what is normal during the healing process, and who you can contact if you have any questions or concerns.

🎄 Christmas party season starts 1 December… so when should you have your aesthetic treatments?

If you’re planning treatments before the festive season, don’t leave them until the last minute!

💉 Anti-wrinkle treatment - allow around 2 weeks for results to develop.

💋 Filler - ideally allow 2+ weeks for swelling and bruising to settle.

🧬 Polynucleotides - Allow healing time to be 2-4 weeks before an event, for initial skin recovery and bruising to heal (a course is recommended for skin improvements to develop over time)

✨ Microneedling - Allow at least 28 days for your skin to recover and the skin repair cycle to complete, the collagen remodelling continues for weeks and months. Plan your treatment 4-6 weeks ahead of your event

💧 Skin boosters - 2-4 weeks initial recovery and hydration improvements to take effect. Some boosters require a course of treatments for optimum results

🧖‍♀️ Peels - timing depends on the type of peel and the downtime involved. A minimum gap between treatments is 1 week. Superficial peels recommended 1-2 weeks prior to the event depending on what peel you have.

🎄 December is one of my busiest months of the year, so I always recommend booking your appointments in advance. This gives us plenty of time to plan your treatments properly and allows your skin time to settle and your results to develop beautifully before the festive celebrations.

My biggest tip? Don't wait until December to start thinking about your Christmas treatments. If you know you have parties, events or special occasions coming up, get booked in early so we can make sure you have enough time to look and feel your best this Christmas. ✨

Sometimes the smallest tweaks make the biggest difference…

This beautiful result was never about creating a bigger lip — it was about restoring, defining and subtly enhancing what was already there.

My client was particularly conscious of the loss of volume in her upper lip, but wanted a result that was completely natural and appropriate for her.

Using a small amount of dermal filler, we focused on:

Restoring subtle volume to the upper lip
Redefining the vermilion border
Improving the shape and balance of the lips
Softening some of the signs of volume loss
Keeping the overall result beautifully understated

The aim? For the lips to look fresher… without a result that leads to anyone being able to tell something has been done.

And I think we achieved just that. 🥰

Dermal filler doesn’t always have to mean bigger lips. Sometimes it’s simply about replacing a little of the collagen and definition we naturally lose over time and bringing back definition in a soft, subtle way.
