Today we headed along to our expert partner Dave Scholes’ Six Connections networking event, where one of his guests was fellow PEAK4 expert, Dave Horrocks.

Rather than the usual presentation, Dave Scholes took a different approach and interviewed Dave in front of the room.

It was really interesting to hear how Dave found his way into performance psychology, what sparked his passion for it and why he continues to do what he does. The kind of stories and personal insights you don't always get from reading someone's bio!

As well as hearing Dave's story, we came away with some great new connections.

In our training sessions, we talk a lot about prioritising yourself before you can properly invest in the people around you.

For Dave, that can be as simple as making time to play a game of padel on a Tuesday!

Yes, it’s during the working day but it’s also something he enjoys, gets his body moving and gives him a proper break from the day to day👌🏻

It’s nice to see familiar faces each week and, of course, be back at Pendle Padel. After our fab event 24-Hour Padel People and with next year’s event already on the horizon, it’s a space we love hanging out in💙

It’s easy to put YOU things off because there’s always something else that needs doing.

Looking after yourself doesn’t always mean making a huge change. Sometimes it’s just making time for the things that are good for YOU!

Taking care of ourselves is something we can ALL be a little bit better at 🥹

A BRILLIANT morning at Prairie Sports Village as part of Burnley Business Week✅

It was really good to be in a room with so many amazing people, meeting some new faces and catching up with some familiar faces!

Lots of good conversations around wellbeing, resilience and looking after the people behind the businesses, which is what we are all about😅

It’s always nice to step away from the day to day, get in a room with other local businesses and have these important conversations.

Big thank you to everyone who organised the event and everyone who came along. It was a great morning and a good reminder of how valuable these conversations are💙

On Su***de Prevention Day, Dave headed to Safran in Burnley to deliver our NEW session - The S Word.

A talk about breaking down the stigma around su***de, making a difficult conversation feel a little more comfortable and sharing a few simple hints and tips to support ourselves and the people around us.

What really stood out was seeing so many people from right across the business in the same room, all wanting to learn more.

These conversations matter!

It is so important for organisations to create the safe space and make it as easy as possible for people to talk about the difficult stuff.
