We are working hard this weekend to get the new clinic up and running for the week ahead. We still have a few things to do this weekend. It’s starting to come together and we are very excited.

We’re opening in Bakewell.

Peak Physio & Injection will shortly be opening a new clinic at SUMMAT cafe, Bakewell, alongside the cafΓ©, gym and wider running and cycling community.

We’ll be offering the same specialist physiotherapy, sports injury rehabilitation and injection services, now from a dedicated clinic space with access to on-site gym facilities when needed for rehabilitation.

We’re currently getting the room ready and will be sharing more over the next few weeks, including our opening date and appointment availability.

Our Buxton clinic remains open as usual, and Bakewell will become our new Peak District location, replacing Bradwell.

πŸ“ SUMMAT, Unit 1, Horsecroft Court, Matlock St, Bakewell, DE45 1EE

We’re looking forward to becoming part of the Bakewell community and working alongside a venue already closely connected with runners, cyclists and active people across the Peak District.

Appointments opening soon.

Good care starts before the appointment.

Thank you to Lee for this detailed review of his initial assessment with James in Bradwell. We have worked to make the whole process straightforward: online booking, appointment reminders, a thorough assessment, clear explanations and a written follow-up plan with exercise guidance.

Knowing what your problem may be, what you can do about it, and what happens next should not feel confusing.

Physiotherapy is rarely a one-size-fits-all process.

Thank you to Marie for her kind review. Symptoms can change, and a treatment approach sometimes needs adjusting as we learn more about what helps, what does not, and what a person needs to return to everyday life.

At Peak Physio & Injection, we aim to provide clear explanations, careful assessment and treatment plans that are adapted to the individual rather than followed rigidly.

A knee problem can feel particularly worrying for a young person and their family.

Thank you to Egmoz for this review of James. Clear assessment, reassurance where appropriate, and a simple plan are central to helping children and teenagers understand their symptoms and regain confidence in movement.

Our focus is not just on identifying what may be causing pain, but giving young people and parents a realistic, manageable route back to sport, school and normal activity.

πŸ“ We're Expanding – Clinic Space Wanted

Peak Physio & Injection is growing, and we're looking for a new clinic space within the Hope Valley and surrounding areas as we continue to expand our services and prepare to welcome another physiotherapist to the team.

We're hoping to find a professional, welcoming space where we can continue providing high-quality physiotherapy, sports injury rehabilitation and injection services to our local community.

We're interested in hearing about opportunities in:
πŸ“ Bradwell
πŸ“ Hathersage
πŸ“ Tideswell
πŸ“ Eyam
πŸ“ Bakewell
πŸ“ Or elsewhere within the Hope Valley / Peak District

Ideally we're looking for:
β€’ A private room suitable for a treatment clinic
β€’ Good accessibility for patients
β€’ On-site or nearby parking
β€’ Flexible access (days and longer-term options considered)
β€’ A professional environment where we can create a permanent clinic space

We're open to a variety of options, whether that's a room within an existing healthcare, fitness or wellbeing business, or standalone commercial premises.

If you know of somewhere that might be suitable, or know someone who does, we'd really appreciate you getting in touch or sharing this post. Sometimes the best opportunities come through local recommendations.

Please send us a message via Facebook/Instagram, email us at [email protected] or call us on 01144330113.

Thank you for your continued support, we're excited about the next stage of Peak Physio & Injection and look forward to continuing to serve the local community.

Achilles rehabilitation should not just be about settling pain. It should build the capacity and confidence needed to return to running well.

Thank you to Andrew for sharing his experience. His programme combined progressive strength work, plyometrics, hands-on treatment and a structured return-to-running plan, helping him get back to pain-free running after six months of symptoms.

Persistent Achilles pain does not always resolve with rest alone. A progressive, individualised plan is usually required.

Thinking about a corticosteroid injection but unsure what to expect?

This short video shows the process from preparation through to aftercare: a calm, clean and clinically assessed procedure, with every step explained as we go.

Before any injection, we complete a full assessment to confirm whether it is appropriate, discuss potential benefits and risks, and make sure you are comfortable with the plan.

The injection itself is usually quick. Most people describe brief pressure or a short scratch rather than significant pain, and you are supported throughout.

Carpal tunnel symptoms can include tingling, numbness, pain or weakness in the hand, often affecting sleep, gripping or day-to-day tasks. An injection is not right for everyone, but it can be a useful option in the right clinical circumstances.

To discuss assessment and treatment options, contact Peak Physio & Injection.

Being listened to matters!

Thank you to Emma for this thoughtful review following her shoulder assessment in Buxton. Our aim is always to understand the person behind the symptoms, explain what may be contributing to their pain in clear terms, and ensure they leave with a practical plan and the opportunity to ask questions as recovery progresses.

If shoulder pain is limiting your sleep, work, training or everyday activities, book an assessment with Peak Physio & Injection.

🎾 We’re looking forward to joining Bamford Tennis Club for a free evening of injury advice, assessments and Q&A.

Following the club’s fantastic work fundraising and redeveloping the courts, including the addition of pickleball, it’s a great time to support members and local players with practical advice on staying active, managing injuries and enjoying their sport.

We’ll be discussing:

βœ… Tennis elbow management
βœ… Common tennis, pickleball and sporting injuries
βœ… How to manage pain and keep playing where appropriate
βœ… When physio, rehab or further assessment may be useful

After the talk, we’ll also be offering free 15-minute assessments and an open Q&A for anyone with injury questions.
