🎉 Buxton Museum and Art Gallery was officially opened today by Councillor Robert Reaney - great to see the 🐻 Buxton Bear is back on display after 3 years - and lots of other interesting objects from the collection - and the 🔎 microscope is back 🙌 It was great to see so many people come along - and the cake was lovely too! 😎

🎭 Buxton Festival Fringe has revealed £400,000 boost to the local economy and the impact of this year’s festival on the town...

The biggest Fringe ever, with more than 230 entries, generated an estimated £374,596 for the local economy, while ticket sales topped 10,000 for the first time in recent years.

Audience feedback was glowing too, with a record number giving the festival a full 5 out of 5. And plans are already underway for Buxton Fringe 2027. 👀✨
