🖤 A CHANGE OF HEART AT MAID ‘N’ INK! 🖤

Hey guys! ❤️

After having a good think about things, we’ve had a change of heart regarding our recent decision about under-18s visiting the shop without an adult.

It just didn’t feel fair to us to stop younger customers coming in independently when we have SO many awesome kids coming through our doors who absolutely love our shop! 🥰🖤 You guys are a huge part of what makes Maid ‘n’ Ink what it is, and we don’t want to take that away from you!

So, rather than changing our rules, we’ve had a little shop reshuffle instead! 🛍️✨

🍓 All of our squishies have now been moved to the area by the till, where they can be monitored more closely. This means we can keep a better eye on things while still allowing everyone to enjoy browsing all the weird, wonderful and spooky goodies we have to offer! 👻🖤

We want Maid ‘n’ Ink to be a welcoming place for everyone, and we don’t want the actions of a few people to spoil things for all the lovely customers who support us.

So, kids, you’re still welcome to come in and enjoy the shop without needing an adult with you! ❤️

A massive thank you to everyone who took the time to message us, share their thoughts and show us so much support. We really do appreciate every single one of you! 🥹🖤

Let’s keep supporting our little independent shop and make it a brilliant place for everyone! 🤘

Much love,
The Maid ‘n’ Ink Team 🖤🌹

🖤 A LITTLE SHOP ANNOUNCEMENT FROM MAID ‘N’ INK 🖤

We’re genuinely so sorry to have to make this announcement, but unfortunately, with immediate effect, anyone under the age of 18 must now be accompanied by an adult to enter our shop.

Sadly, we’ve been experiencing thefts far too frequently lately, and the incidents we’ve dealt with have involved younger people. 😔

We absolutely hate having to introduce this rule, especially as we love welcoming young alternative souls into our little shop and being part of our local community. However, we’re a small independent business, and repeated thefts have a real impact on us. We work hard to bring you all the alternative clothing, band merch, character goodies and weird and wonderful bits you love, while keeping our prices as affordable as possible. 🖤

Please understand that this decision hasn’t been made lightly. We don’t want to punish the many lovely, honest young people who visit us, but unfortunately, we have to take steps to protect our business.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support us, shop local and understand how much independent businesses mean to our community. We really do appreciate every single one of you. 🖤🤘
