Meeting and practising with David Swenson for the first time in-person- a teacher I’ve looked up to for years ❤️

I’ve had a wonderful day at the beautiful HOME studio in London, totally immersed in Ashtanga and learning from someone who has inspired my practice for so long. David is an incredible yoga teacher and a beautiful example of what it means to be a yogi, both on and off the mat.

It was such a special day for me being guided in my practice by David, asking questions and discovering how much more there is to learn, even within a practice that feels so familiar.

Feeling so happy, grateful and even more deeply in love with Ashtanga ❤️
Thank you for the inspiration and support in my yoga journey🙏

“Autumn reminds us that slowing down is part of the rhythm too.” 🍂

On Sunday, 22 November, I will be holding my first (yay!) and only, yoga retreat of the year, and my first since becoming Alex’s mum 🥹

Returning Home is an invitation to follow the slower rhythm of the season: to turn inwards, rest, reset and reconnect with yourself before the busyness of Christmas begins.

We’ll share a heart-opening cacao ceremony, gentle yoga, nourishing food, EFT tapping and an immersive sound bath with the wonderful Antonia Frequency loved by everyone for both her incredible talent and her beautiful heart. We’ll then enjoy tea and delicious cakes lovingly baked by the incredibly talented Lola Sycamore 🤍

I have missed bringing our community together in this way and cannot wait to share this special day with you.

For the first time since becoming a mum, I spent two whole days away from my baby- immersed in yoga, nature, friends and simply being me 🤍

It felt so special to step out of the role of teacher and mum become a student again. To be guided rather than guide. To move, breathe, learn, explore new styles and experiences, and spend entire days doing what I love, surrounded by beautiful nature and some of my favourite people.

There was something incredibly freeing about being able to fully surrender to the experience, knowing that Alex was absolutely fine and having the best time with his daddy. ❤️

I came with no expectations, nowhere else to be and nothing else I needed to do other than focusing on movement and breath, while deepening my practice through guidance of wonderful teachers Insight/Mindfulness Teacher, IFS Practitioner, Health Coach Floss | philosophyandyoga.co.uk 🌟Fizz | Feel-Good Glow Guide✨Yoga •Curator •Wellbeing Director💖 , Vanessa Battaglia , Loni Lincoln 💚🇬🇧🇲🇾 and so many others, and enjoying proper uninterrupted time with friends.

Two days of being a student again. Of moving, learning, laughing, connecting and filling my own cup.
And I’m coming home feeling inspired, grounded and full of love and fully present in the biggest cuddles 🤍

Feeling so grateful after this weekend of pure magic!
Thank you The Big Retreat Cambridgeshire for this wonderful event.
Namaste 🙏

Our van life adventure began!

This is something neither of us have very done before and crazy enough- we decided to do it with a 6 month old baby on board! 😅

We missed simplicity of life: to be able to pack a few things, throw our duvet in the back, pick a place on the map and just go. To find beautiful little campsites and secluded spots, wake up surrounded by nature and spend almost the entire day outdoors.

And especially now with Alex, it feels like such a gift. Watching him spend his days outside rolling around on the grass, looking at the trees, exploring, eating with us outdoors and taking everything in 🤍

For me, it’s also meant moving more, eating well, slowing down and rolling out my yoga mat wherever we happen to be that morning.

It’s not fancy travel. In fact, that’s part of the beauty of it. Once we’re on the road, we can have these little adventures incredibly simply and affordably — and somehow need very little to have a really good day.

More fresh air.
More movement.
More nature.
More spontaneous adventures.
More time as a little family.

We started off with traveling around beautiful Suffolk to try it all out relatively locally and I have to admit it- we totally fell in love with it! 😍

Soon update on our next destination! 😁

I’ve been loving the motherhood so much ever since my little Alex was born. However, this last couple of weeks, postpartum hit me hard. Today felt heavy.

So I decided I needed a few hours to simply be me. I left Alex with his daddy at home. I wandered around the shops, went to the cafe for lunch, I treated myself to a matcha, walked for miles in the sunshine, and ended up sitting under a tree with my journal.

Nothing extraordinary happened, but somehow it was exactly what I needed.

Sometimes, the best thing we can do is give ourselves permission to step away for a moment, breathe, and remember who we are beyond the beautiful role of motherhood.

I came home feeling lighter and more peaceful.

Five months postpartum, and I’ve found myself in one of those emotional waves that seems to have come from nowhere. I’m feeling very grateful for the beautiful life I’m living and somehow equally feeling unexpectedly heavy.

At the start of this week, I made a promise to myself: I can no longer compromise on my practice. I’ve rebuilt my days around Alex and teaching, and every day now I’m returning to yoga, meditation, and journaling. They are no longer just practices- they are how I find my way back to myself, how I find clarity, focus and understanding about this season of my life.

This evening, after putting Alex down to sleep, I felt the need for a strong practice. By the end of it, I felt clearer and waaaay lighter!

Maybe this is wave isn’t about getting back to who I was. I feel like it’s more about letting go of old limitations and creating space for the woman I’m becoming.

Honestly, feeling so grateful for yoga and its beautiful tools. It keeps reminding me that I don’t have to choose between motherhood and myself. They can perfectly coexist.

P.S. Alex’s playmat is the comfiest upgrade of a yoga mat I’ve ever made. 😂

We’ve had the most amazing day celebrating Summer Solstice and Anthony’s First Father’s Day. The influx of energy that came with this special day of the year made today feel extra special in so many ways.

PS. Anthony, you’re an incredible dad and I couldn’t have wished for a better companion for life for Alex (and myself, of course). We both adore you! ❤️

These days, between yoga, motherhood, teaching and the beautiful chaos of everyday life, I’m learning that growth isn’t always about adding more.
Sometimes it’s about creating enough space for everything we’ve already learned to truly land.

What if the things not meant for you are making space for the things that are?

Happy Children’s Day!

Today, in Poland, we celebrate a child’s day, and this year it feels extra special because we get to celebrate you, our beautiful Alex ❤️

We are so grateful that you chose us to be your mummy and daddy. In just a few months, you have taught us so much about love, presence, and what truly matters. My little guru and mindfulness teacher, you bring me back to the present moment every single day.

You are the most wonderful little boy! We hope we can give you the happiest childhood possible, full of love, adventure, laughter, and the freedom to be exactly who you are.

Thank you for choosing us, little man.
You are everything I’ve ever dreamt of and more!
We love you endlessly ❤️
