A parent once sat through an entire assessment without asking what the report would actually include. It was only afterwards, after they had paid, that they realised it wasn't quite what they needed.
We never want anyone to leave feeling that way. Asking questions before you book, or during your appointment, isn't rude. It's a sensible thing to do when you're spending time and money on something this important.
So, for the record, you are allowed to ask us anything. Including:
What exactly will the report include after my assessment?
Can you explain why this rating scale is being used?
Will one appointment be enough, or might I need more?
What happens if the assessment doesn't reach a clear diagnosis?
Can I share the report with my GP or school directly?
I'd like to understand each step before we move forward.
None of these questions will surprise us, and none of them will change how carefully we look after you. Our assessments explore your symptoms, your medical history, your development and your family history, and we're happy to talk you through what that means for you.
If there's something you'd like to understand before booking with us, please ask. We'd rather you felt clear and comfortable from the very start.
