🎉 Huge congratulations to our Tisha! 🎉

We're so proud to share that Tisha has completed Tinnitus Adviser Training with Tinnitus UK 👏

Tinnitus affects around 1 in 7 adults in the UK. It can be distressing and isolating, and many people are told there's "nothing that can be done". Tisha has now completed specialist training in supporting people living with tinnitus. That means even more of our patients can get the understanding, reassurance and practical guidance they deserve, right here with us.

And she isn't stopping there! 🌱 Tisha is also training to become a counsellor, so she's building on these skills to support the emotional side of hearing and tinnitus, while our Audiology Team support the clinical side. Her dedication to our patients is truly inspiring.

Behind 25 years of experience are thousands of patient stories💙

Yesterday, we celebrated Rhys’ 25 years in Audiology. Today, we wanted to share a little reminder of why his experience means so much to the patients he looks after.

🎉 25 YEARS OF RHYS! 🎉

Our Principal Audiologist and co-founder, Rhys, is celebrating 25 years in audiology, and we couldn't let it pass without a proper celebration! 🥳

A quarter of a century is a huge achievement in any career. In a profession built on listening, it means 25 years of helping people reconnect with the conversations, music and moments that matter most to them 👂💙 Whether you've sat in his clinic chair, watched him on YouTube or heard him on the radio, there's a good chance Rhys has helped you hear a little better!

🏥 Where it all began
Rhys started his career in the NHS, where he spent seven years as paediatric lead while also practising as a principal audiologist. Working with children and their families shaped the way he still works today: patient, reassuring and always taking the time to explain. 👶👨‍👩‍👧

🤝 Building Audiology Associates
In 2014, Rhys and Leah co-founded Audiology Associates with a simple idea: a family-run clinic where patients get unhurried, expert care with no sales pressure. ✨ Complimentary hearing tests, free two-week trials of new technology and aftercare built into the price all come from that same belief.

Today we have clinics in Ebbw Vale and Cardiff 📍 and a brilliant team of audiologists, dispensers and support staff who share Rhys's approach to looking after people properly.

Rhys has never been one to keep his knowledge in the clinic room! 🎙️ As BBC Radio Wales' resident audiologist, he answers listeners' questions about hearing health on air.

He also runs our YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, and the numbers speak for themselves 🤯

This year Audiology Associates was named Best Audiology Company in Wales at the SME United Kingdom Awards 🥇 and Health and Wellbeing Winner at the Best of Southeast Wales Business Awards 🌟 Rhys also holds HCPC, BAA, BSHAA and RCCP registrations.

But if you ask Rhys, the awards aren't the best part. It's the patient who hears their grandchild clearly for the first time 🥹 or the one who walks out after a wax removal amazed at how loud the world is! After 25 years, that still hasn't changed. ❤️
