Belong to Yourself is an intimate retreat space created by Janie Ash — Reiki Master, meditation teacher and spiritual coach with over twenty years of practice. A place for people who are running on empty, carrying too much, or simply ready to come home to themselves. Maximum two people. Completely bespoke. Bread sits on the board like it owns the place.
Mackerel, chicory, pomegranate seeds scattered like RUBIES.
I stand back and look at the table before I call "lunch is ready"
This all makes me happy, so I take a photograph of it,
and I feel glad to be alive.
Then we sit down to eat.
My heart is full!

Extra virgin olive oil in one thin gold thread.
I always pour too much.
I lick the peppery green NECTAR from my fingers,
which is no way to behave, but I don't care.
I love making it special.
That's one of the best bits of what I do.

The house vibrates CALM.
It smells of rain, velvet and peace.
The flowers just cut, dripping on the table.
I plump the cushions again, which is ridiculous,
but I do it anyway and smile.
I am so grateful for this happy place.
