A little glimpse of our Pilates Equipment Playground Workshop at Highwood Village Hall on Saturday 🍂✨

We had such a lovely morning moving, playing, laughing and exploring a slightly different style of Pilates together. From the Wunda Chair and Spine Fitter to the Barrel, Hedgehogs, Magic Circles, Weights and Poles — we certainly made good use of all the equipment! 😄💚

Thank you to everyone who joined me and brought such wonderful energy to the morning. And a thank you to those who stayed for coffee, cake, lunch and a good old chat afterwards — the perfect way to finish! ☕️🍰

Our next workshop will be on Saturday 23rd January. I’d love to see you there! 👀💚

Pilates 🍁 Equipment Playground Workshop!

Just TWO WEEKS to go until my Pilates Equipment Playground – Autumn Workshop! 🍂

And I have to say… I’m really excited about this one!

I’m bringing some of the Pilates apparatus and props from my home studio along to Highwood for a morning of movement, exploration, challenge and a little bit of Pilates play!

You’ll get the chance to explore The Wunda Chair , The Barrel , The SpineFitter and lots more Pilates equipment and props that we don’t normally have available in our regular classes.

And I’m really excited to be joined by the lovely Pilates Teacher 👩‍🏫 Amanda Watt, who will be helping me with the Wunda Chair work.

With two teachers, you’ll get lots of individual guidance and support as you explore these wonderful pieces of Pilates apparatus, giving you the opportunity to really get to grips with the equipment and enjoy trying something different. 💚

Whether you’re experienced with Pilates equipment or you’ve never used a Wunda Chair before, you’ll be very welcome. I’ll give you options and modifications throughout, so you can work at a level that feels right for your body.

Expect a morning of:

✨ Exploring the Wunda Chairs, Barrels & SpineFitters
✨ Pilates apparatus and props
✨ New exercises and movement challenges
✨ Lots of variety and exploration
✨ Plenty of individual guidance
✨ Time to play, move and enjoy your Pilates

It’s not about being perfect or mastering everything — it’s about having a go, discovering what your body can do and enjoying moving in a different way.

💚 OUR FIRST LIVE ONLINE PILATES CLASS! 💚

Today we had our very first live 30-minute lunchtime Pilates class — and I absolutely loved moving with you! 🥰

We explored Pathway to the Corkscrew, working through rotation, pelvic mobility and hip movement, gradually building towards the exercise itself.

What I love about these live classes is that we get to move together, learn together and enjoy our Pilates practice as a community — wherever you are. 🤍

A huge thank you to everyone who joined me today, and to those who couldn’t make it but will be catching up with the recording.

✨ Live online Pilates classes will take place each month for SG Pilates Members.

Two years ago, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to New York and learn from Blossom Blossom Leilani Crawford . She has trained with first-generation teachers who studied directly with Joseph Pilates, and spent many years learning from Kathy Grant. It was an experience I’ll never forget.
Last week, I was lucky enough to learn from her again, this time in London at the wonderful Pilates Nation , where she led a reformer workshop all about footwork.
Blossom has such a brilliant eye for movement and for making small adjustments that create a huge difference. Her creativity, passion and sense of humour are so inspiring — and yes, she definitely loves a ball! Each of us had a different-sized ball placed between our knees, ankles, heels or toes, depending on what our bodies needed. Such a simple idea, but so effective.
It was also so lovely to be surrounded by so many talented teachers, move alongside Pilates friends I’ve met along the way, reconnect with familiar faces, and meet some new Pilates legends too.
Blossom worked very closely with Kathy Grant for many years, and learning more about Kathy’s teaching and personality was such a gift. There is so much to reflect on, digest, and weave into my own teaching.
Thank you Blossom Leilani Crawford . Forever a student, always learning. 🤍
