Healthy New Me Looking after health and wellness through excellent nutrition and positive mental health messages

At Healthy New Me, I’m passionate about supporting women through perimenopause, menopause, and beyond — helping them feel healthier, more confident, and more connected. I focus on nutrition, mindfulness, and creating a strong sense of community, so no one has to go through this journey alone. With my background as a Registered General Nurse (RGN), Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN), Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), and Licensed Menopause Champion with the Menopause Experts Group, I combine clinical expertise with a compassionate, personal approach. Through group sessions, one-to-one coaching, online support, and in-person meetups, Healthy New Me offers flexible, tailored guidance to help women take control of their health and wellbeing — not just during menopause, but for the years beyond.

🌸 WE’RE STARTING! 🌸

Today marks Day 0 of the Healthy Habit Focus Fortnight at Healthy New Me! 💜

But what exactly is a Healthy Habit Focus Fortnight?

It’s 14 days of focusing on YOU and the habits you want to build, change or understand.

And here's the important bit…

👉 It isn't a diet.
👉 It isn't a weight-loss challenge.
👉 It isn't about giving up everything you enjoy.
👉 And there isn't one “perfect” goal that everyone has to follow.

Because your healthy habit might look completely different to mine.

🍽️ Maybe you want to understand your eating habits.

💧 Maybe you want to drink more water.

🚶‍♀️ Maybe you want to get moving more.

🏋️‍♀️ Maybe you want to get back into the gym.

😴 Maybe sleep needs some attention.

🧠 Maybe you want to make more time for yourself.

❤️ Or maybe there's another habit that would make a genuine difference to how you feel and live your life.

That's what HHFF is about.

Small, meaningful changes that fit YOUR life.

We'll look at habits, nutrition, movement, mindset, goals, reflection and the things that can either help us or get in our way.

And we'll do it without the guilt, shame and “start again Monday” mentality that so often surrounds health and weight.

Today is Day 0 — our starting point.

We're not trying to be perfect.

We're getting curious.

We're noticing where we are.

And then we'll work out where we want to go. 🌱

💜 The next Healthy Habit Focus Fortnight starts Monday 12th October 2026.

If you've been thinking “I really need to get back on track”, perhaps it's time to stop looking for the perfect plan and start looking at one healthy habit that matters to you.

Healthy New Me — helping women thrive through change. 💜

🌱 THE HEALTHY HABIT FOCUS FORTNIGHT IS UNDERWAY! 🌱

Our pre-week has officially started, and we’ve already been getting stuck into some really important foundations for creating healthier habits that actually fit into real life.

Over the last couple of days, we’ve been looking at:

🎯 Goal Setting for Success
Not just what you want to achieve, but how to create goals that actually work for you.

👣 More Movement
Looking at our everyday movement, where we're starting from, and how small, realistic changes can help us build a habit that lasts.

And we're only just getting started! 👀

Over the next few days, our Healthy Habit Focus Fortnight participants will have more live sessions and videos to work through, building on what we've already covered and getting them ready for Day 0 on Monday 21st September. 💚

The idea isn't to suddenly become a completely different person overnight.

It's about understanding your own habits, making small, realistic changes, learning what works for you and building from there.

No perfection. No punishment. No “starting again Monday”.

Just real life, real habits and proper support for sustainable change. 🥰

MISSED THIS ONE? 👀

Don't worry — you can join us for the next Healthy Habit Focus Fortnight starting in October!

📅 Details coming very soon…

If you’re someone who wants to make healthier changes without another restrictive diet or another set of impossible rules, keep your eyes peeled. 👀💕

Healthy habits. Real life. Lasting change.

📚✨ 18 months. So many books. Even more conversations. ✨📚
Looking back at the books we’ve shared at The Book Nook over the last 18 months, I’m reminded that it’s never just about the book.
And this isn't even all of them! 😂📚 Some have been lent out, so they’re currently off having their own little adventures before hopefully finding their way back home!
Because The Book Nook is about so much more than what’s sitting on the bookshelf.
It’s the laughter.
The opinions.
The “I absolutely hated it!” 😂
The “I couldn’t put it down!”
The unexpected conversations that somehow start with a fictional character and end up being about real life.
It’s a little corner of Healthy New Me where men and women can come together, switch off from the outside world for a while, have a cuppa, and just be. ❤️
And as A Million Dreams plays over this little trip down memory lane, I can’t help thinking about all the books we haven’t discovered yet… and all the conversations still waiting to happen. 📖✨
🌟 Our next Book Nook is Monday 7th September
📍 Healthy New Me HQ
💷 £15 per month
☕ Tea & coffee included
📚 Great books
💬 Great chats
❤️ Great people
You don't need to be a literary expert. You don't need to have read every book. You don't even need to know what you fancy reading next.
You just need to fancy spending a bit of time with some lovely people, talking books, life and everything in between.
Men and women are both very welcome. 🥰
Come and join our little bookish family. 📚❤️
Because sometimes, the best stories aren't the ones we read…
they're the ones we create together. ❤️

Something NEW is growing at Healthy New Me… 🌸

We've been busy behind the scenes.

Healthy New Me has had a refresh — with new systems, new resources, new ways of supporting our community and an even bigger focus on helping women make healthy changes that actually work for their lives.

And we've just opened the doors to our brand new:

🌸 HNM RESOURCE HUB 🌸

A growing collection of free tools, reflections and resources designed to help you pause, reflect, learn and make small changes that work for you.

Whether you're thinking about your habits, your relationship with food, your wellbeing, your motivation or simply trying to work out what you need right now…

there's something in there for you.

And this is only the beginning.

I'm going to keep adding to the hub as we develop more resources, so go and have a nosey now and keep checking back! 👀

And if you've been wondering what we're doing at HNM…

Healthy Habit Focus Fortnight is coming! 🌱

Our next HHFF begins with the pre-week on 14th September.

It's a chance to get a taste of the HNM approach, our community and the way we look at healthy habits — without pretending that changing your life means becoming a completely different person overnight.

Small changes. Real life. Real women. Real support. ❤️

If you've been thinking “maybe I need to do something for me…”

This might be your sign. 🌸

More details coming very soon.

🌸 Something BIG has changed at Healthy New Me...

We've been a little quiet behind the scenes...

because we've been busy. 👀

Healthy New Me has had a proper rethink.

We've revamped, refreshed, decluttered, reorganised and taken a really good look at what we want HNM to be for the women who come through our doors.

And the answer?

More YOU. ❤️

More focus on your health and wellbeing goals.

More support.

More education.

More community.

More celebrating the things that matter beyond a number on the scales.

And a whole lot more of the Healthy New Me magic that we've always loved — just with some big changes happening behind the scenes. ✨

Tomorrow, Tuesday 1st September, we reopen our doors to our existing HNM community...

And if you've ever wondered what Healthy New Me is actually all about, 14th September might be a rather good time to find out. 😉

🌱 Healthy Habit Focus Fortnight is coming.

Two weeks to focus on your habits, your wellbeing and the things that can help you feel more like you again — with the support, encouragement and community that sits at the heart of HNM.

It's a little taste of what we've been building.

And you might just find that you like it. 🥰

Can we talk about the scales for a minute?

I've spent far too many years allowing that little number to determine whether I felt I'd had a "good" week or a "bad" week.

But the scales don't tell the whole story.

They don't tell you how well you've slept.

They don't tell you how strong you've become.

They don't tell you how much muscle you've built.

They don't tell you how stressed you've been, what's happening hormonally, how well you're nourishing yourself or how much energy you have.

And they certainly don't tell you what your body can actually DO.

A gain doesn't automatically mean you've failed. And a loss doesn't automatically mean you've succeeded.

Your weight is information. It can be useful information when we're looking at the bigger picture of health, but it isn't a verdict on you.

This is something I've had to learn throughout my own health journey.

I'm much more interested now in the bigger picture:

❤️ Am I nourishing myself well?
❤️ Am I moving my body?
❤️ Am I sleeping?
❤️ Am I managing my stress?
❤️ Do I have energy?
❤️ Can my body do the things I want it to do?
❤️ Do I actually feel well?

That's health to me.

And that's the kind of conversation I want to have during Healthy Habit Focus Fortnight.

We're moving away from "How much weight did you lose?" and towards "How are you actually doing?"

Healthy Habit Focus Fortnight — Preparation Week starts 14 September.

If knowing what to do was enough, none of us would struggle with our health.
Most of us already know the basics.
Eat well. Move more. Sleep. Drink water. Look after ourselves.
But real life gets in the way.
We're exhausted. We're stressed. We're looking after everyone else. We're emotional. We're busy. We've tried diets before. We feel like we've failed.
Maybe you don't need more willpower.
Maybe you need support.
That's one of the reasons I created Healthy Habit Focus Fortnight.
Not another diet.
Not another list of rules.
Not another opportunity to feel like you've failed.
Two weeks to understand your health, experiment with healthy habits and start building things you can actually live with.
If you're ready to do it differently, I'd love you to join me. 🩷
Preparation Week starts 14 September.

Your health isn't just what you eat.

It's the people you love.
The memories you make.
The things your body allows you to do.
The moments you get to be present for.

It's having the energy to dance.
The strength to walk.
The confidence to say yes to life.
And the ability to be present for the moments that matter.

Health is wealth.

And sometimes looking after yourself means making space for life too. ❤️

With love,

Healthy New Me

I’m done with dieting. But I’m not done with being healthy.
When I started my health journey in 2022, I was chasing weight loss because I’d been told that was what I needed to do.
And yes, I lost a lot of weight. I became fitter, stronger and healthier — and I felt bloody amazing.
But my body has changed again since then.
And I've realised something really important:
My body changing doesn't mean I've lost my health.
The habits, knowledge and understanding I built along the way have stayed with me.
I don't need to recreate the body I had at my thinnest.
I want to continue looking after the body I have now.
Because health isn't a dress size or a number on the scales.
Health means something very different to me now.
It means nourishing myself, moving my body, looking after my mental health, managing my stress, and building habits that actually work in real life.
And that's exactly why I created Healthy Habit Focus Fortnight.
A fortnight to focus on your health, your habits and your next chapter — without another bloody diet.
🩷 Preparation Week starts 14 September
