Can you tattoo surgical Scars/self harm scars?
The answer is yes! But there are a some important conditions it has to meet:

✨ The scar must be fully healed and mature before tattooing.
A common guideline is to wait at least 12-24 months after surgery, and 6-12 months for self harm scars, it all depends on the scar and how deep it is.

✨ The scar should be pale/close to skin colour, flat, settled and no longer changing.

✨ Scar tissue can take pigment differently from normal skin, so it may heal unevenly or require a touch-up.

✨ Scarred skin can be thinner, tougher or less elastic, so the tattoo appointment will take longer than a regular appointment because I have to work slower and with caution.

✨ Sensation can be unusual: the area may be numb, hypersensitive or uncomfortable.

✨ I will always have you in for a face to face consultation to assess the scar, rather than deciding purely from a photograph.

✨ Set realistic expectations: tattooing can camouflage or incorporate a scar, but it won't remove the scar or restore normal skin texture.

I hope this helps 🖤

Good morning!😄
Just a message to everyone's that's messaged me and waiting on a reply:
My work phone has crossed the rainbow bridge a while back 🤣 so I've had to do the next best thing and pop it into my own personal phone, so as you can imagine both personal /work messages have just merged into one big overwhelming load of "anxiety" , I've tried to get through them the best I can, but if I missed you please just copy paste your last message for my attention!

Apologies in advance if I've missed you, it's not on purpose, I've been working and staying at the shop super late some nights to make sure the renovations at the shop is getting done to make it the most relaxed environment you'll ever get tattooed in ❤️

Alternatively, you can send your enquiries through to my website: https://getink.app/artists/sarawardtattoo

That's much easier for me to respond too as I get all the details I need in there 🙌🏼

Good morning,
Hope you're all doing well!
I'm here to announce some exciting changes that been in the pipelines 🤫
After years and years of running his own Studios, Pete is taking a step back from being a studio owner and guess who he asks to run it instead.. Little old me 😅

It's just felt right, as I love working there and love the community and it's people ❤️
So from September, (and on paper) I will be running the Studio officially, but renovation works is already been happening these last few weeks.

I want to thank you for your patience with me, especially with response times. I have been working some crazy hours these last few weeks trying to get things in order and unfortunately there's only just one me 🤣
Thank you to the close bunch of friends and family that's helped, I appreciate you all 🫶🏼

So most importantly I want you to know that:
✨ Nothing is changing in terms of appointments.
✨ Pete isn't going anywhere, he will be still working at the studio.
✨ Only thing that's changing is the interior and exterior of the studio 🤘🏼

Thank you so much for all your support and I can't wait to share the final results of the renovations (make over) in the next upcoming weeks 😘
