here’s a version of you waiting underneath the coping, the people-pleasing, the “I’m fine.”
She isn’t broken. She’s just been in the shadows a long time.

The Herbal Shadow Journey is my new three-month online circle for women who are ready to meet her.

Together we’ll move through five stages of shadow work, guided by The Herbal Shadow Oracle, my 30-card deck rooted in Irish plant wisdom. Every card pairs a plant ally with a shadow to face and a question to carry with you.

Nettle for awakening. Rose for desire. Yarrow for strength. Heather for intuition. Plants have always held what we couldn’t hold alone. My Irish grandmothers knew it, and I’ve spent over a decade watching it in practice.

This is an intimate circle of only six women, so we can go deep, gently and together. Your own printed oracle deck and pocket guide are included, and they’ll reach you in time to get to know your cards before we begin.
✨ We begin 14th January 2027
✨ Founding price: £247, or 3 payments of £89

The new year is a doorway.
Step through it as yourself.

You’re not losing your edge. 📧 That foggy, read-it-again feeling is one of the most common things women tell me about, usually in a whisper, like it’s a confession. Tiredness, broken sleep and shifting hormones can all make focus feel like wading through treacle. It’s common. It isn’t something you have to just put up with. 💛 Comment “same” if this was you this week.

“I’m fine, just tired.” 😴 Then they tell me: they need a nap at 4pm, they wake at 3am, they cry at adverts, and they haven’t felt rested since 2019. Tired is real. But when it comes with a list, it’s worth looking at what sits underneath it. 🌿 Save this and read it back next time you say “I’m fine.”

Waking at the same time most nights is a pattern I ask about in every first appointment, because it often tells me how your body is handling stress. You’re not imagining it, and you’re not alone in it. 💛 Tag the friend who’s also awake right now.

Three weeks of you, then one week of someone who snaps at the dishwasher. 🙃 If your fuse gets shorter at the same point each month, that timing is information, not a character flaw. Try noting the date next time it happens. A few months of notes can show a pattern you’d never spot day to day. 📝 Save this as your reminder.

The afternoon slump. The second coffee. The bloating by dinner. Lying awake. 🔁 When something happens every day, it stops feeling like a symptom and starts feeling like your personality. In clinic, the things women mention last are often the most useful clues. ✨ What’s on your list? Tell me in the comments.

You were the one with the colour-coded calendar. 📅 Now it’s keys in the fridge and three tabs open for the same thing. Lots of women in their late 30s and 40s notice this shift and quietly blame themselves. Sleep, stress and hormones all play a part in how sharp you feel, and that’s worth knowing. 💛 Send this to the organised friend who’s started forgetting things too.

Monday is a good day to stop guessing.
If your PMS, sleep or energy feel "off" but you're not sure why, the first step isn't another supplement. It's working out which pattern you're in.

The Hormone Pattern Starter Guide walks you through the three patterns I see most in clinic — oestrogen, cortisol and progesterone — the signs of each, and the first simple shifts I'd suggest.
11 pages, plus a 7-day gentle reset tracker you can start today. £9.
It's a starting point for understanding your pattern, not a diagnosis — written by a registered medical herbalist who's seen 150+ women for exactly this.

Hold the dots at the bottom and slide 🌱 (or just swipe slowly)

A gentle reminder for every woman with PCOS/PMOS who’s been made to feel like her body is doing it wrong.

The irregular cycles, the skin, the hair, the energy dips: none of it means you’re broken. It means your body is following a pattern. Patterns can be understood, and patterns can be worked with.

What I see in clinic again and again is that women improve once they stop fighting their body and start supporting the specific pattern underneath. That might be blood sugar, inflammation, stress, or what happened after coming off the pill.

That’s what Western herbal medicine is for. It’s not a quick fix, and it’s not masking symptoms. It works with your body, one pattern at a time.

💬 Comment PATTERN and I’ll send you my free Pattern Finder, the first step to knowing which one is yours.

Your PCOS/PMOS symptoms are clues 🔍 Swipe to reveal what each one may be pointing to.

PCOS/PMOS isn’t one-size-fits-all. Two women can have the same diagnosis and completely different drivers underneath it. That’s why the same generic advice works for one and does nothing for the other.

Clinically, I see four main patterns:

1️⃣ The insulin pattern: 3pm crashes, sugar cravings, weight that settles round the middle. Research suggests insulin resistance is common in PCOS/PMOS, at any body size.

2️⃣ The inflammatory pattern: achy joints, skin flare-ups, gut trouble, tired however much you sleep.

3️⃣ The adrenal pattern: wired but tired, with symptoms that flare whenever life gets stressful.

4️⃣ The post-pill pattern: periods that went missing or haywire after stopping the pill.

Ticked more than one? That’s really common. Patterns overlap, and knowing which one is leading changes where you start.

This is the heart of how I work as a medical herbalist. I don’t look only at the diagnosis, I look at the pattern driving it. Western herbal medicine doesn’t mask a symptom, it supports the pathway.

Follow the line 〰️

3am wake-ups. Night sweats. Walking into the kitchen and forgetting why. Snapping at everyone by 4pm. Periods that have stopped following any rules.

Most women are told to treat these one at a time. A sleep tip here, a supplement there, a “that’s just stress” from someone who hasn’t asked many questions.

But in clinic, I rarely see these as five separate problems. Research links them to the same shift: oestrogen and progesterone rising and falling unpredictably through perimenopause.

Here’s why that matters:
→ Progesterone has a calming effect on the brain. When it dips, sleep often goes first.
→ Fluctuating oestrogen may affect your body’s temperature control, which can bring on flushes and sweats.
→ Both hormones play a part in mood and memory, which may explain the fog and the short fuse.

When you follow the line back to where it starts, you can support the pattern rather than chasing each symptom on its own.

As a registered medical herbalist, that’s how I work. Western herbal medicine doesn’t mask a symptom. It supports the pathway underneath it.

💬 Comment DECODER and I’ll send you my free Perimenopause Symptom Decoder, so you can see which symptoms are part of your thread.

Save this for the next time someone tells you it’s “just your age.”

Progesterone is your calming, sleep-supporting hormone, and in perimenopause it’s often the first to fall. Less of it, and the early-morning rise in cortisol can wake you at 3am, wired and wide awake.

That’s a hormone pattern, not a personal failing.

Signs your 3am waking may be hormonal: it started in your late 30s or 40s · it’s worse the week before your period · you wake hot or with a racing heart · your periods have also started to change.
