Today we said goodbye to our beautiful Tracy. Many of you will know her from the monthly gong baths and bumping into her at her weekly visits to The Pamper Rooms.
It’s so hard to know what to write about someone who became such an important part of my life almost without either of us noticing it happening.
Tracy walked into my shop one day as a client… and we never really looked back.
What began as a client and therapist relationship grew into something so much deeper. Over the years there were treatments, conversations, tears, laughter, cups of tea, messages, retreats, spiritual ramblings and those moments where one of us would say something and the other would just get it.
She was incredible.
Tracy had this wonderful curiosity about life and about what might lie beyond the bit we can see. She loved Chungliang Al Huang and all things spiritual, and I know if our roles were reversed she would have found some beautiful pearl of wisdom to send me about death not really being an ending at all.
So today, amongst all the sadness of saying goodbye, I’m trying to hold onto that.
Perhaps this isn’t the end of Tracy’s journey. Perhaps it is simply the part where she goes on ahead of us.
I feel incredibly lucky that, out of all the shops she could have walked into that day, she walked into mine.
And even luckier that she stayed.
Thank you for the friendship, the wisdom, the laughter and the love, Tracy. You have left a much bigger space than you could ever have known.
Safe onward journey, beautiful lady.
Until somewhere, somehow, we meet again. ✨
