🌅 SUNRISE. SEA. STILLNESS. 🌊
This morning, Craig and I went to Felixstowe to watch the sunrise.
A foggy drive.
Clouds slowly opening.
The sun appearing.
Waves rolling in.
Birds calling.
People jogging.
Strangers chatting.
Craig skimming stones.
And me… putting my feet in the sea. 💚
Cold? Absolutely. 😂
Worth it? Definitely.
There was something about standing there, watching the sun rise over the water, that reminded me why nature is such an important part of wellbeing.
Sometimes we don't need another solution.
We need a pause.
We need to listen to something other than the noise in our heads.
We need to feel the ground beneath our feet.
We need to breathe.
We need to notice.
At When The Shift Ends CIC, we talk a lot about what happens when the shift is over — that transition from caring for everyone else to reconnecting with yourself.
And sometimes that transition can be as simple as:
🌊 Listen to the waves.
🌿 Feel your feet on the ground.
🌅 Watch the sunrise.
🐦 Listen to the birds.
💚 Take a breath.
✨ Give yourself permission to just be.
Nature doesn't demand anything from us.
Sometimes it simply holds space.
From holding others to holding yourself.
