Would Executive Director Jay Patel swap the UK's community pharmacy system for another countries?

His answer might surprise you.

In the latest Health Tech Hour podcast, Jay Patel shares why the solution isn't simply about swapping healthcare systems.

While resources may be stretched, one thing never changes: the dedication of community pharmacy teams. Every day, pharmacists and colleagues go above and beyond for their patients, delivering exceptional care despite increasing pressures.

Hear Jay's thoughts on what healthcare systems can learn from each other and why people remain the greatest strength of any pharmacy system.

"I almost said no."

When a Day Lewis Pharmacist offered Executive Director Jay Patel a routine blood pressure check, it seemed like a small moment.

But that simple check revealed something far more serious.

Further investigations uncovered heart disease that could have been fatal. Just three months later, Jay underwent life-saving heart bypass surgery.

In this powerful episode of the Health Tech Hour podcast, Jay shares his personal journey and why prevention, early detection and accessible healthcare services are more important than ever.

Stories like this remind us why community pharmacy matters. Sometimes, one conversation, one check, or one appointment can change the course of a person's life.
