Honeysuckle - Our World Providing essential respite for people living with dementia. Open tuesdays, wednesdays, thursdays and Fridays 9am-3pm.

We have lots of activities for your loved one to enjoy whilst in a safe, home from home environment.

Despite the wet weather this morning, we made the most of our time indoors! ☔ We enjoyed reading the newspapers, having a good chat and testing our knowledge with some fun quizzes. 📰🧠 It was a lovely opportunity to share stories, have a laugh and keep our minds active.

We then headed over to our arts and crafts area, where everyone got creative painting their own canvases. 🎨🖌️

After lunch, the rain had finally stopped, so most of us headed out for a refreshing afternoon walk to enjoy some fresh air, while others chose to stay inside and continue working on their beautiful paintings.

We started our morning with a nice cuppa and some tasty crumpets, followed by a good old read of the newspapers and a chat about what’s happening in the world. 📰☕

With the weather being so lovely, most of us headed out for a morning walk, making the most of the sunshine while we can! 🌤️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️
Back inside, it was time to get creative in our arts and crafts area, where we enjoyed puzzles and colouring. Others settled down in the lounge to enjoy some classic comedy with The Two Ronnies — always good for a giggle! 😂
We also took a trip down memory lane, looking through old newspapers and discovering some interesting little gems along the way. 🗞️💭

After lunch, a couple of us popped over to the allotment to see how things were getting on, while the rest of us got stuck into the bean bag game. Let’s just say there was plenty of laughter and a few competitive moments! 🎯🤣

We started our morning with a lovely walk in the sunshine, collecting even more conkers along the way! 🌰🍁 It was wonderful to enjoy the fresh air and make the most of the beautiful weather.

Back inside, everyone enjoyed a variety of activities, including poke art, drawing, colouring, knitting, pumpkin carving and taking plugs apart. 🎨🧶🎃 There was plenty to keep everyone busy and engaged!

After a lovely lunch, we got moving with some gentle chair exercises to keep ourselves active. 💪😊 In the afternoon, some of us headed off to the allotment 🌱, while the rest stayed behind to enjoy puzzles, word searches and a good old chat together.
A lovely day filled with fresh air, creativity, gentle exercise, smiles and plenty of companionship. ❤️ We love making the most of every day together! 🍂☀️

Terrific Tuesday 🥰

We started our day with our usual morning catch-up, chatting away, helping everyone settle in. 😊
We then headed out for our morning walk, but unfortunately, the heavens decided to open, so we had to cut our walk short and head back indoors! 🌧️☔
Once back inside, we got creative with some lovely autumnal activities. We decorated glass jars with beautiful autumn flowers, carved a pumpkin 🎃, enjoyed some aqua painting and spent some time knitting. There was plenty to keep everyone busy and enjoying themselves!

After a lovely lunch, we got moving with some chair exercises to the king himself, Elvis Presley! 🎶💃🕺 We finished off the afternoon with our fun balloon game, bringing plenty of smiles, laughter and a little friendly competition! 🎈😄

Fab Friday!!

We started our morning by reading some lovely Pam Ayres poems, before a few of us headed out for a refreshing morning walk while the rest enjoyed some knitting. 🧶 We then had a lovely chat together in the lounge area and enjoyed watching a bit of the classic comedy duo Morecambe and Wise! 😂 a few of us got crafty in the arts and crafts area too.

After a tasty lunch, a few of us popped down to the allotment, where we collected some more pumpkins 🎃 and some fresh peppers 🫑, while the rest of us got competitive with our tennis ball game! 🎾 there may have been some persuasion using Maltesers! 😂🍫🏆

🍂🍁 A Lovely Autumn Day

We started our morning with a lovely warm cuppa and some delicious crumpets! ☕😋 There was plenty of chatting, laughter and catching up on the latest news as we enjoyed reading the newspapers together.

Some of us wrapped up warm and headed out for a refreshing morning walk, while others preferred to stay cosy in the warm – it was certainly a bit nippy out there this morning!

We then got creative in our arts and crafts area, enjoying some wonderful autumn-themed crafts and getting into the spirit of the season! 🎨🍂🍁

After a lovely lunch, it was time for some fun and games! We enjoyed a friendly game of bowls followed by some tennis ball activities, keeping everyone active, engaged and having fun!

Today we warmly welcomed a lovely new customer, who settled in wonderfully and fitted right in with everyone.

We started the morning with some quiet time enjoying the newspapers and knitting, before heading out for a morning walk while the weather was still dry. During our walk, we collected some conkers, which we brought back and turned into a fun activity. We carefully made holes in the conkers and threaded them onto wire.

We also enjoyed some beautiful flower arranging and spent time doing puzzles together.

After a lovely lunch, we got moving with our chair exercises, followed by plenty of fun and laughter with our balloon games. 🎈

We started the day with our usual morning catch-up, sharing news, stories and plenty of smiles. We also welcomed a very special new resident… Mr Ghost! 👻 He’s already settling in nicely and getting into the Halloween spirit!

We enjoyed a lovely morning walk before getting creative with some spooky Halloween crafts using pastels. 🎨👻 We also got busy making a beautiful wreath using leaves.

After lunch, some of us headed down to the allotment to see how things were growing — and excitingly, some of our pumpkins are ready! 🎃🌱

Meanwhile, those who stayed behind enjoyed a good old singalong and a very lively balloon game! 🎶🎈

We were absolutely delighted to welcome the wonderful ladies from The Lark Partnership, who presented us with an incredible £920 donation! 💕 They took on an amazing 13-mile trek and raised this fantastic amount for us!We are so incredibly grateful for their kindness, generosity and support. 🥰
Thanks to their wonderful fundraising, we’ll be able to create even more amazing memories and experiences together, including bringing a pantomime, welcoming an animal zoo, and enjoying lots of exciting activities to come! 🐾🎭✨

In our arts and crafts area, we kept busy with lots of creative activities. We enjoyed flower poke art, finishing off our conkers by screwing holes into the remaining ones, aqua painting, and getting into the autumn spirit with some lovely pumpkin painting. 🎃🌼

After lunch, some of us headed over to the allotment, where we picked some lovely tomatoes and butternut squash. It was lovely to get outside and enjoy everything our allotment has to offer! 🌱

Some enjoyed hand therapy, before we finished off the day with some fun and gentle chair exercises — keeping our bodies moving and having plenty of smiles along the way! 😊
