A small lesion, carefully removed💉👨🏽⚕️🏥
Our patient visited KRevive Medical Clinic for the surgical removal of a dermatofibroma from the left calf.
A dermatofibroma is a common, benign skin growth. It usually develops after a minor skin trauma, such as an insect bite or small injury. While usually harmless, it can sometimes feel uncomfortable, become irritated or be a cosmetic concern.
The images show:
1. The lesion before removal
2. Surgical excision
3. Closure of the wound
4. 13 Days Post — showing the wound healing after the procedure
The procedure was carried out under local anaesthetic following a clinical assessment. If you have a skin lesion that has changed, is causing symptoms or concerns you, please seek medical advice.
