Supported Community Business At SCB, we help individuals grow in confidence, build real-world skills and find purpose in everyday achievements. SUPPORT A CHARITY THAT WORKS FOR YOU!

We believe everyone deserves a place to feel safe, supported and included. Our aim is to provide a therapeutic workshop facility for people in the locality with special needs / learning difficulties who wish to explore the world of work in a safe and controlled environment. Outwork is sourced from local businesses, providing real and meaningful work tasks which, through instruction and supervision from dedicated staff, enables service users to learn basic work and life skills, gain an understanding of the world around them, interact and form friendships, grow in confidence and gain a sense of well being. The structured routine also offers parents and carers respite and the opportunity to organise their own time. If you feel you could support us, either through providing outwork or by offering support, please contact us via our website. You can also show your support through making a donation via 'JustGiving', shop through the on-line site 'The Giving Machine', or just by liking our page.

⭐ Could you spare two minutes to leave SCB a Google review? ⭐

It might only take a couple of minutes, but every review makes a huge difference to SCB. 💙

And you don’t have to attend SCB to leave us a review. If you’ve had a positive experience with us in any way, we’d really love to hear from you.

Perhaps:

- You or a loved one attends or has attended SCB
- You work for an organisation that SCB has completed work for
- You’ve worked alongside or had a positive interaction with one of our trainees
- You’ve attended one of our fundraising events, such as our Quiz Night, Bingo Nights or charity football match at Crewe
- You’ve supported, visited or worked alongside SCB in another way

All of these are experiences of SCB, and your feedback helps other people understand who we are, what we do and the difference our trainees make.

If you have two minutes to spare, we’d be incredibly grateful if you could leave us a Google review. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Thank you, as always, for supporting SCB! 💙

👋 MEET THE TEAM – SAY HELLO TO PHILIPA! 💚

You may have already spotted Philipa in our recent post celebrating our two newest forklift drivers, but we thought it was time to introduce her properly!

Philipa is the newest member of the SCB team, and she's certainly wasted no time getting stuck in, already adding a forklift qualification to her achievements! 🚜👏

We're delighted to have Philipa on board and look forward to seeing her continue to settle into life at SCB, supporting our trainees and the fantastic work they do every day.

But rather than us telling you everything about her here, why not get to know her a little better yourself?

💻 We've added Philipa's biography to our website, where you can find out more about her, along with the rest of our brilliant SCB team.

Please join us in giving Philipa a big SCB welcome! 🎉💚

🎉 TWO NEW FORKLIFT DRIVERS AT SCB! 🎉

A huge congratulations to our newest staff member, Philipa, and SCB trainee Dylan, who have both successfully completed their forklift training! 👏

Both worked incredibly hard throughout the course, taking on board everything they were taught and demonstrating a real commitment to understanding how to operate the forklift safely and responsibly.

🌟 A special shout-out has to go to Dylan, who has made a little bit of SCB history by becoming our very first trainee forklift driver!

This is something we're particularly proud of, as it perfectly demonstrates one of the values at the heart of SCB – looking at ability, not disability. 💚

A huge thank you also goes to our regular, brilliant forklift trainer John from SID Training, who was as warm, patient and encouraging as ever. His approach to training helped both our new drivers learn at their own pace and develop their skills with confidence. Thank you, John! 👏

Both Philipa and Dylan will continue to receive support and supervision as they put their new skills into practice and build their confidence behind the wheel.

We're incredibly proud of what they've both achieved, and we can't wait to see them continue developing their skills.

🚜 Two new drivers, two fantastic achievements and one very proud SCB!

A MASSIVE well done to you both! You've absolutely smashed it! 🎉👏🏆
