So… when is Sienna actually getting her braces? 👀🦷

For Sienna, we need to wait until her baby teeth have naturally fallen out and her adult teeth have come through before starting orthodontic treatment.

Timing matters when it comes to orthodontics. It’s about making sure we start treatment at the right stage of development, rather than simply starting as early as possible.

So for now… Sienna’s going to have to be a little patient! 😄🤍

Charlotte wanted to improve both her smile and her bite - and that’s exactly what we set out to achieve. 🦷✨

This wasn’t simply about straightening the teeth. Her treatment was carefully planned to create a more balanced smile through levelling, expansion and achieving the ideal smile arc and smile line.

Forgot to wear your retainers last night? Don’t panic! 😅

After breakfast and brushing your teeth, put your retainers in for a few hours during the day. This can help prevent them from feeling too tight when you put them back in the following evening.

And remember, consistency is key when it comes to keeping your teeth in their new position. 🦷

Hana is now 14 months since starting her interceptive orthodontic treatment with Invisalign First. 9 months of active treatment. 5 months of retention.

These retention review appointments are now my favourite. Monitoring how the dentition develops with such ease. It’s not just about that initial end result with interceptive treatment it’s about how the development continues. Hana’s transition from the early mixed dentition to the permanent dentition is a joy to see unfold. Yes the lower 4s are currently slightly short of space to complete eruption but there is leeway space banked in once the lower Es exfoliate.

Will Hana even need a second stage of treatment? Watch this space! 😀✨

So, why wait? 🤍

Hana came to us with a large overjet, which was putting her front teeth at a higher risk of trauma. Her mum also wanted to make sure we addressed it before it started to affect Hana’s confidence.

Rather than waiting, we decided to intercept early with Invisalign First and mandibular advancement.

Just 9 months later, the transformation has been incredible - not only has Hana’s smile changed, but her facial profile has too, and importantly, that high risk of trauma has been significantly reduced.

Early intervention isn’t about rushing treatment. It’s about recognising when the right time to act could make a real difference.

It’s the question we get asked all the time… but if you ask me, it’s a little harder to choose! 😂

The truth is, both Invisalign and fixed braces can achieve fantastic results, and the best option really comes down to the individual patient, their teeth, bite, lifestyle and treatment goals.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach - we’ll always recommend the treatment that we feel is going to give you the best result.

For me, one of the most rewarding parts of what I do is seeing the change in confidence that can come with treatment. 🤍

Of course, seeing the clinical results is incredibly rewarding, but it’s the moments beyond the treatment that really stay with me - when a patient starts smiling more freely, feels happier in themselves or simply carries themselves a little differently.

Everyone’s reason for seeking treatment is personal, and that’s why it’s so special to see what a positive experience can mean for someone.

Restoring confidence is one of the best parts of my job. ✨
