National Women-Owned Business Day 💛

This week we celebrate the woman behind Susan Rose China.

After studying Graphic Design at the Central School of Art and Design in London, Susan began her career as a self-employed designer. Her route into ceramics came later, when an opportunity to paint ceramic tiles led her to teach herself the craft.

Starting with a small kiln in her garage and English bone china from Stoke-on-Trent, Susan gradually built the business from the ground up — first hand-painting each piece before the business grew into what it is today.

A story that started with design, curiosity and a love of English china. 🤍

We’re lucky enough to work on some very special commissions for some much-loved British names, bringing our English china know-how, a bit of hand-finishing and plenty of care to every piece.
