💅🏻 Today was a day for nail care. Nails neatly trimmed and filed, colour chose by resident, a gentle hand massage 💅🏻
We enjoy making people feel pampered, relaxed and keeping up with resident traditions 💅🏻

Today we had Naomi come and perform for us. She comes from Faversham and is very talented with Musical Theatre.
She blows us away every time and we all get goosebumps when she sings.
She really is amazing.

We are absolutely delighted to share that an incredible £1,800 has been raised to support those affected by the devastating disaster in Nepal. This wonderful amount was raised through fundraising at Applecroft Care Home, along with generous donations collected within the Nepalese community from families and friends. What an amazing achievement! ❤️ A huge thank you to every single person who donated, supported us, and took the time to come along and buy the delicious food. A very special and heartfelt thank you goes to the wonderful girls who organised everything, spending their morning cooking, preparing, serving, collecting and counting the money. Your time, hard work and kindness have made such a difference, and this is truly a very worthy cause. Thank you all so much for coming together and showing such incredible generosity and community spirit. ❤️

Today, the Dementia Bus visited us here at Applecroft Care Home, and what a truly fabulous and insightful training session it was. 💜 Dementia training is incredibly important for everyone working in care, helping us to deepen our understanding of what it can be like to live with dementia and, most importantly, how we can provide the very best support to our residents at every stage of their journey. The session gave us the opportunity to learn, reflect and see things from a different perspective, reminding us that behind every diagnosis is a person with their own memories, feelings, personality and individual needs. Continuing to develop our knowledge and understanding allows us, as carers, to provide more compassionate, person-centred care and to ensure that every resident living with dementia feels valued, respected, understood and supported. A huge thank you to the Dementia Bus team for such an engaging and worthwhile experience. 🌟
