I'm writing this with very sore feet, a very large coffee and a brain that still hasn't quite caught up with itself, and I don't think I've ever been so happy to be this tired!
Vivacity happened. The sun shone (in Dumfries, in October, who'd have thought it!) and from the first stretch of the morning to the last song on the Church Lawn, it went better than I'd dared hope.

Every time I walked round the site something lovely was going on: gongs and singing bowls in the Church, journalling, breathwork and ice baths, and people pointed towards the stars at the end of the night.
One guest told me it was her perfect day out. Another told me it had changed her life, and I had to go and have a wee moment.

That didn't happen by accident. It happened because every practitioner, trader, musician and helper said yes to something brand new, and then turned up and knocked it out of the park. Velocity Events Group, created the most incredible set up, handling the behind the scenes prep, and going the extra mile, with a smile!

If you came, thank you. Tell me your favourite bit in the comments, I'm collecting them!

I'll be honest with you, I had to postpone October's half day retreat, and I was gutted. I hate letting anyone down, and I sat with it for a wee while, wondering whether anyone really wants a Sunday morning just for themselves when the nights are drawing in.

Then the lovely messages started coming in, people moving their place straight over to November, and I remembered exactly why I do this.

So November is on! Sunday 1 November, 10am till 2pm, at the former Baptist Church on Newall Terrace in Dumfries. Gentle movement, guided rest, mindful creativity and a seasonal, nutritious brunch you didn't have to shop for, cook or wash up after. It's the week the clocks go back, which is exactly when we need a pause most and are least likely to give ourselves one.

Come on your own, honestly, most people do, and you'll leave with a few new faces you're glad you met.

A few years ago I would not have had the nerve to do what I'm doing on 17 October.
Vivacity Wellness Festival is the biggest thing I have ever organised, a whole wellbeing festival at The Crichton, and the other night I was lying half awake, still buzzing, thinking about how on earth I got here.

I used to be the woman who shrank in a room. Quiet, letting everyone else take the lead, convinced nobody would take me seriously. When I helped bring a street market into Dumfries town centre with my good friend Leah, and later helped lead the campaign to restore our town fountain, plenty of people told me it was a waste of money, that I shouldn't, that I couldn't. I nearly walked away from both when the going got tough. I didn't. I pulled my big girl pants up and kept going, thousands of people came to that market, and the fountain is glorious now.

I'm not special. Bloody minded and determined, sure! I really believe every woman reading this has that in her, under all the noise, other people's opinions, and the beliefs that were never really yours to begin with. "Who does she think she is?" Honestly, I think I'm someone who just gets sh*t done. I'm passed the point of caring for anyone else's opinion of me. I do me. It's not my business to micro manage others perceptions, they're none of my concern.

So here's my question for you: what would you do if nobody was going to ask you who you think you are?

October is Menopause Awareness Month, and this year's theme is lifestyle medicine, which is a fancy way of saying the everyday stuff (sleep, food, moving your body, how frazzled you are) matters far more than any of us were ever told.

So that's exactly what a big chunk of Vivacity Wellness Festival is about. On Saturday 17 October at The Crichton, the day before World Menopause Day, we've got a whole day of it, and I cannot wait.

Swipe through, save it for later, and send it to the friend who's been lying awake at 3am wondering what on earth is going on.

There's a copper beech in my garden that changes every October from a deep purple to this rich, glorious flame orange, and every year I stand there with my coffee going cold, in admiration.

And it gets me every time, because nobody looks at that tree and says, oh dear, she's past her best. We just stand there and say, would you look at that!
There's beauty in every season, including the one a lot of us are walking into right now.

What's the view from your window doing this week? Tell me in the comments.

Let's talk about the £75.

I know it can feel like a lot for a day out. So I did the maths, so you don't have to.

Here's one way your day at Vivacity Wellness Festival could look:

7.30am Morning Movement and Pranayama
8.30am Sauna and cold plunge (squealing optional but likely)
9.30am Tai Chi
10.30am Menopause Matters with Dr Heather Currie
11.30am Food, Fear and Absolute Nonsense
12.30pm Lunch and a wee nosy round the Wellness Market
1.30pm Yin Yoga
2.30pm Creative Journalling
3.30pm Gong Sound Bath
4.30pm Crystal Bowl Sound Bath

That's nine sessions, all included in your ticket, plus a goodie bag. And that's before the archery, the forest bathing, the ice baths or the music and dancing under the stars to finish.

Now here's the good bit. Sign up to the Tribe Fortune newsletter and I'll email you a code for 20% off straight away, so your ticket comes down to £60. That's £6.67 a session. I've paid more than that for a sad sandwich at Tebay!

You'll also be first to hear about our half day retreats and anything new we're planning. No spam, just a monthly letter from me.

But the real value, for me, is getting to try things. How do you know if a gong bath or a freezing cold plunge is for you if you've never had the chance? Here you get to find out, all in one day, at The Crichton.

Saturday 17 October, Dumfries. Sign up at tribefortune.com (link in bio) and your code will be in your inbox in minutes. It works on the group tickets too, so bring your pals!

Sunday 1 November, 10am till 2pm, Dumfries.

Things I can guarantee will not happen to you that morning:

Nobody will ask you what's for tea. Nobody will ask where their other shoe is. You will not unload a single dishwasher. Somebody else is making brunch, and you are able to eat it undisturbed.

Our November half day retreat, at the former Baptist Church on Newall Terrace is booking now. Link in bio to claim your bit of peace.
