💙 Darren’s weight loss success through Virtual Eatwise

Darren, 59, was finding it harder to lose weight as he got older. Seeking support for this, he was referred to Wellbeing for Life (WBFL). Here he received personalised online support helping him to reach his weight loss goals.

“It’s been a great experience for me. I’m a competitive person, and setting targets and goals allowed me to succeed," Darren said.

In this Virtual Eatwise group ran by Jules, Community Connector, and Emily, Wellbeing Practitioner, Darren not only received support through each session, but he was provided with resources to keep that support ongoing while at home. By the end of the group, he achieved some fantastic results. He said: “I lost over two stone and reduced my waist size, as well as other measurements.”

🟠 The Waiting Well team has been getting their hands dirty with a lovely volunteering day out supporting Home Group Wellbeing Services at their Ferryhill Wellbeing Allotment.

They prepared land for new raised beds to be constructed, de-weeded existing land that was really overgrown, and got the area ready for the winter vegetables to be planted.

Thank you Home Group for this fantastic opportunity to meet, support each other, and discuss how we can work together to bring effective support to our local communities.
