I have mine in the garden to support my plants and the garden as a whole.

What does “grounding” mean within Vortex technology? The triangular Earth Card represents the earth element.

Within the Life Alignment and Vortex framework, it is based on an understanding of interconnected energetic fields — between people and the wider natural environment.

For personal use, the Earth Card can be placed at the feet with the intention of energetically supporting a greater sense of grounding and connection with the earth.

Users have also explored the Earth Card in their external environments.

It has been used with plants, minerals, crystals and jewellery, with users reporting changes they associate with the card’s energetic influence.

What makes this particularly interesting is the range of ways people have explored a single Vortex tool — from personal energetic practice to their relationship with the natural environment.

Do you use the Earth Card? We’d love to hear how you work with it and what you’ve observed. Share your experience with the Life Alignment community.

What might we be ready to release? Within Vortex Technology, the Octagon Card is associated with detoxification and energetic release.

It is designed to create an energy flow intended to support the release of negative thoughts and emotions, as well as unwanted energetic influences within a person or space.

The card can be worn or placed in an environment, allowing it to be used as an ongoing part of an energetic practice.

For personal well-being, the Octagon Card may be placed on the stomach with the intention of energetically supporting detoxification and healthy digestion.

Within an external environment, it may be placed on the front door frame as a way of working energetically with the space.

There is an interesting connection here to this month’s wider conversation around Energy Hooks.

Not everything we carry is necessarily physical. Life Alignment invites us to become more aware of the thoughts, emotions and energetic patterns we may be holding onto, and to consider what we may be ready to release.

Where in your life or environment could there be space for greater clarity?

Very interested in attending this workshop. So relevant in our stressful lives

You may have heard a lot about the vagus nerve. But what actually is it?

The vagus nerve is an important communication pathway within the nervous system, connecting the brain with several areas of the body.
It has become an increasingly familiar subject in conversations about stress, regulation and well-being.

For Life Alignment, understanding the body is part of a wider conversation about how our physical, emotional and energetic experiences interact.

Later this month, Jeff Levin will dedicate a Free Chat with Jeff to: Understanding the Vagus Nerve Pathway

Before then, we’d like to begin with a simpler question: How much attention do we give to the communication already taking place within our bodies?

Sometimes awareness begins not by trying to change what we feel, but by becoming more curious about it.

More on this throughout September.

What if many of the challenges we experience aren't problems to fix, but signals to understand?
The vagus nerve has become one of the most talked-about topics in health and wellbeing, helping us better understand how stress, emotions and the nervous system shape our daily lives.

Join Jeff Levin, founder of Life Alignment, for a free online Chat with Jeff, where we'll explore the Vagus Nerve Pathway through the lens of whole-person wellbeing.

Rather than focusing only on nervous system regulation, we'll look at why the body responds the way it does, how our experiences can influence those responses, and why lasting change often requires a broader perspective.

📅 Tuesday, 29 September🕖 19:00 (South Africa time)💻 Online | Free to attend

Whether you're new to Life Alignment or simply curious about the connection between stress, the nervous system and personal transformation, this conversation offers a thoughtful introduction to the principles behind our work.

For those who wish to explore the topic further, the session will also introduce our Vagus Nerve Pathway Workshop taking place on 11 October.
Register via the link in our bio and join the conversation.

Such a great description of how we use muscle testing!

Your body already knows. Muscle testing is how we listen.

In a Life Alignment session, we don't start with assumptions. We ask the body directly.

Rather than measuring physical strength, muscle testing is used as a form of biofeedback. It helps identify how the body responds to specific statements, emotions, or stressors, providing insight into areas where there may be imbalance or unresolved patterns.

Sometimes, our conscious mind believes we are ready to move forward, while our body continues to respond with stress, fear, or resistance. Muscle testing helps bring these differences into awareness, creating an opportunity to work with them more consciously.

In Life Alignment, muscle testing is never used in isolation. It forms part of a structured process that combines emotional awareness, energetic balancing, and practical tools to support greater clarity, balance, and wellbeing. Rather than telling you what to think or do, muscle testing invites you to listen more deeply to the wisdom of your own system. It guides the order of the session, so that the work follows the client's own emotions, not a predetermined protocol.

Precise. Repeatable. Grounded in the body. This is what makes Life Alignment different.

Looking forward to this online workshop and working with the Vagus Nerve.

Chronic Stress isn’t always obvious

One of the most challenging aspects of chronic stress is that it often becomes our normal. We become accustomed to feeling tired. Busy. Always "on."
We may continue functioning well externally while our nervous system quietly remains in a state of protection.

Rather than asking "What's wrong with me?" , perhaps a more helpful question is:

"What has my nervous system been trying to protect me from?"

This shift changes how we relate to ourselves. Symptoms become information rather than something to fight against. Understanding the vagus nerve gives us valuable insight into how the nervous system responds to life. Learning what may be keeping it there is another step entirely.

This is one of the conversations we'll continue exploring during our Vagus Nerve Workshop this November, where science, embodied practice and a whole-person perspective come together.

As I look forward to being in nature today and in my garden, this message really resonates.

Tending to the part of the garden you can touch is how we truly create lasting change in this world, and it’s how we can do it with love. When we attempt to create sweeping changes across the globe, we can get caught up and burnt out. But when we touch right where we are with love, our home, our community, our work, and those around us, they feel that love and they then carry it with them and spread it. The spiritual path invites us to make the garden around us beautiful, and from there that love and beauty spreads across this beautiful globe from a place of balance and care. 🌏
