Glorious time harvesting our spiky immune-boosting pal Sea Buckthorn on our final Wild Things Edinburgh foraging walk of 2026 🍑🌱🧺

Everyone took a wee bit home to freeze and experiment with. Lots will make its way to our apothecary to tincture for our low cost herbal clinic in Wester Hailes 🌱🩺🏺

If you'd like to join us for Wild Things 2027, we have two Glasgow classes with spaces available - come along to Pollok Park monthly on either Fridays or Saturdays from March - October. We're holding a special market stall this Saturday, including, for the first time, Granton Rouge D'Ecosse flour, from this year's wheat crop at the farm. The very first bags will be ready for sale at the stall, along with Rouge D'Ecosse biscuits from Granton Garden Bakery , autumnal veggies, and herbal tinctures from Grass Roots Remedies Co-op .

Come along for a chat at the stall, and get your fresh produce straight from the farm. We can take cash and card payments. Looking forward to seeing you.

If You Haven’t Been Before

The Market Stall is held in the farmyard, in front of the ‘Welcome’ portacabin, through the gate at the back of the Toby Carvery car park (EH4 5EX).

Access Notes
It is level access (no stairs, one incline at the gate) from the tarmac of the car park onto a rough compacted stone path, suitable for most wheelchairs and mobility scooters. The stall will be outdoors on this path.

Yesterday was our final session of Wild Things Glasgow 2026. Amazing to think that it's been 200 days(ish) since our first class and walk in Queen's Park. Now here we are, making plans for future meet ups whilst we feast on a delicious lunch shared with SJSM Allotments - our lovely hosts in Pollok Park

Over 8 months we've foraged, walked, talked and got deep into all things wild food and medicine. From Few Flowered Leek in early Spring to Hawthorn, Plantain, Limeflower, Rosehip and closing with the calming influence of Valerian root. We've covered 40 wild plants - and the odd fungi and lichen - which are abundant in our biorgion

Want to join Catriona next year? Bookings are open now, you can choose to join us each month March-October in Pollok Park on either Fridays or Saturdays 10am-4pm. Each session starts with a class at the allotments, followed by communal lunch and then a walk. All walk locations are accessible by public transport - we will also lift share as much as possible

We also have online course spaces available - including extra-subsidised spaces. You'll get access to all of the course materials and 4 seasonal Zooms with past and current students - come and geek out with us about plants

So you can start your herbal experimentations before 2027, If you book before the end of the year, you'll also get a free space on our online course Kitchen Herbal Medicine

Wondering what herbal courses is right for you? Book a 15 minute courses call to chat through your options
