Sometimes the biggest changes start with a small piece of equipment. In our latest story, we share how an adjustable bed made daily life easier, not just for sleep, but for independence, comfort, and family well-being. Read the full case study to see the compassion and practical care behind the solution. https://wix.to/PRnuuoL

Sometimes, the first sign that someone needs a little extra help at home is something quite ordinary. Getting out of bed in the morning takes longer than it used to. Finding a comfortable sleeping position becomes difficult. Perhaps a husband, wife or family member has started helping with things th...

World Mental Health Day 2026: it’s more than a conversation, it's a chance to notice the small things that shape how we feel. At Fen Mobility Centre many chats begin with practical needs β€” and by exploring those, we often uncover emotional and mental health impacts too. Read our latest post to learn what to look out for and how simple changes can make a big difference. https://wix.to/Cv23iRV

World Mental Health Day takes place on 10 October each year. It is an opportunity to talk about mental health, but also to think about some of the less obvious things that can affect how we feel. At Fen Mobility Centre, most conversations don't start with mental health. They usually start with somet...

Our new post breaks down what to look forβ€”from lift power and seat height to cushioning and safety featuresβ€”so you can pick a chair that makes daily life easier and more comfortable. Read the full guide: https://wix.to/wSdpiL5

A good armchair should be somewhere you can genuinely relax. But as we get older, recover from surgery or begin to experience changes in mobility, the chair we have always found comfortable may no longer be quite right. Perhaps getting up takes a couple of attempts. Maybe you find yourself pushing h...

Falls at home can affect anyone β€” but small changes can make a big difference. Our latest blog covers practical, easy adjustments to reduce risk and restore confidence: from improving lighting and removing trip hazards to safe footwear and simple balance exercises. Read more: https://wix.to/i8PjbwK

A fall can happen to anyone, but as we get older, or if our mobility, strength or balance changes, the consequences can become much more serious. For some people, the biggest impact isn't even the fall itself. It is the loss of confidence afterwards. Someone who has always been independent can sudde...

πŸ’œ Our Very Own Hero: Sonia Marshall πŸ’œ

Our wonderful manager, Sonia Marshall, was nominated as a finalist for Colleague of the Year at the 2026 Ely Hero Awards.

Anyone who has visited Fen Mobility Centre will probably have met Sonia, and will know exactly why we're so proud. She genuinely cares about our customers, always has time to listen and is a huge part of what makes Fen Mobility the friendly place it is.

She might not have brought the trophy back this time, but being chosen as one of just three finalists in Ely is a pretty special achievement.

Ely has plenty of heroes. We're rather lucky that one of them works with us. πŸ’œ

We've written a little more about Sonia, the awards and why this nomination meant so much to us πŸ‘‡
