Today is an extra-special day as we celebrate the bright, creative, and joyful Marleigh turning 8 years old!
Marleighโs journey has been one of incredible resilience. Diagnosed with ATRT in January 2022 after a CT scan at Childrenโs of Alabama revealed her tumor, she faced a grueling 7-hour brain surgery resulting in a gross total resection, followed by the ACNS0333 protocol and proton radiation. While she later developed Action Induced Myoclonus as a treatment side effect, causing involuntary tremors, Marleigh continues to shine through it all. We are overjoyed to celebrate that as of September, she is officially ๐ ๐ฒ๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐จ๐๐ ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐๐ญ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ and received completely clear scans earlier this month!
Whether she is watching her 3D printer make amazing new things, enjoying her favorite fajita chicken from Los Mexicanos, cheering as a Cubette majorette during halftime at little league football games, or showing off her massive love for Bluey, Marleigh lives life to the fullest.
We continue to pray that it is Godโs will for her to continue life in total remission, keeping all other ATRT fighters and angels close to our hearts. We are so proud of you, Marleigh!
