Sculptra is a terrible idea… if you enjoy people asking whether you’re tired, watching your face gradually lose some of its firmness, and chasing every little change with more filler.

For the right patient, Sculptra offers a very different approach. Rather than creating an immediate filled result, it stimulates your own collagen production, gradually improving support and firmness over time.

That gradual change is exactly the point. You’re not supposed to wake up looking noticeably different. The aim is that, over the following months, your face simply starts to look fresher, healthier and better supported, while still looking completely like you.

It’s also why I like looking at treatments as part of a longer-term plan rather than waiting until changes feel significant and then trying to correct everything at once.

Sculptra won’t be right for every face, and sometimes a completely different approach will make more sense. If you’re noticing changes in firmness, structure or facial support and want to understand what’s actually causing them, send me a message or book a consultation via the link in my bio 💌

Birthday girl today, and officially 3 years from 50 🎂

People ask me all the time what I do for my skin, so here’s the honest answer:

✨ Retinol at night
✨ SPF every single day
✨ Eating well, drinking plenty of water and looking after myself generally
✨ Regular in-clinic treatments, because I believe good skincare and well-chosen treatments work best together

No magic product, no secret treatment, just consistency over time.

Today, though, skincare can wait. I’ve treated myself to a haircut, and now dinner with my family and hopefully something involving cake 🥂

47, and very happy to be here 🤍

Thinking about booking a consultation with me? You don’t need to have it all figured out first.

In fact, I’d much rather you come in saying, “This is what’s bothering me, but I have no idea what I need” than feel you have to diagnose yourself from Instagram. The consultation is where we look properly at your skin and face, talk about what’s changed, what matters to you and what’s realistically going to make a difference.

You can ask as many questions as you like, there’s no pressure to commit to treatment and you may even leave with a completely different plan from the one you expected. Sometimes that plan starts with skincare. Sometimes it involves treatment. Sometimes it means doing less.

If you’ve been thinking about booking but weren’t sure what to ask for, you don’t need to know. Book a consultation and we’ll start with the concern. Tap the link in bio to get started 💌

I know this isn’t what you want to hear, but sometimes the best treatment plan starts with doing less.

It’s very easy to arrive in clinic having already decided what you need, especially when social media makes every concern look like it has one obvious solution. In reality, the same complaint can have completely different causes from one person to the next, which means the right treatment can be very different too.

Sometimes I’ll recommend skincare first. Sometimes I’ll suggest a completely different treatment. Sometimes I’ll tell you that you don’t need anything at all. That’s the point of a proper consultation.

If you want advice based on what your face and skin actually need, rather than what happens to be trending, send me a message or book a consultation. Tap the link in bio to get started 💌

A little photo dump from a brilliant day in Wales with Galderma 🤍

We spent the time learning more about Sculptra, looking at how and where it can fit into a long-term treatment plan, and getting a deeper understanding of the wider Galderma portfolio.

Days like this are such a great reminder that there’s always more to learn in aesthetics. The better you understand the products you’re using, the better you can assess who they’re right for, when to use them and when another approach may make more sense.

Always grateful for the chance to keep learning, ask questions and bring that knowledge back into clinic ✨️

I won’t automatically perform the treatment you walk in asking for, promise you a result that isn’t realistic or keep adding more because technically we can. Sometimes I’ll suggest a completely different plan. Sometimes I’ll tell you to wait. Sometimes the answer will be no.

That isn’t me being difficult. It’s part of practising aesthetics properly. My responsibility is to consider your anatomy, skin, facial proportions, goals, budget and the long-term effect of every decision we make, not just what might look good immediately afterwards.

If you’re looking for someone who’ll give you an honest assessment and tell you what they genuinely think will serve you best, book a consultation or send me a message. 💌

The advice I’d give my best friend is pretty much the advice I give every patient: don’t start with the treatment, start with the person treating you. You should be able to ask questions, change your mind, hear “you don’t need that”, and leave a consultation without booking a thing if that’s what feels right.

And please don’t feel like you need to arrive knowing exactly what you want. Tell me what’s bothering you, what you’d like to look or feel different, and let me do the clinical bit.

If you’re thinking about your first treatment and want an honest conversation before making any decisions, send me a message or tap the link in my bio to book 🤍

Said with love, but your skin does not care how expensive the product is, how many steps are in your routine, or whether the SPF is tucked inside your foundation.

I spend a lot of my clinic life having these slightly uncomfortable conversations: yes, you do need SPF every day, no, more products does not equal better skin, and if your skincare still isn’t working after months of trying, the answer usually isn’t to keep buying more and hoping for the best.

Most of the time, better skin comes from getting back to basics, using the right products at the right strength, and knowing when skincare has reached its limit and treatment needs to step in.

And as for the scary results you’ve seen online, they’re usually a reflection of poor decisions, not aesthetics done well. If your skin has changed, feels stuck, or you’re not sure what’s actually worth your money, that’s exactly the point to get proper advice rather than keep guessing 🤍

After 35, the things that actually make a difference to your skin become a lot more specific, and the list is shorter than most people think.

The noise around skincare and aesthetics is enormous, and a lot of money gets spent on things that aren't really moving the needle.

Let's cut through that and take a look at the investments I'd genuinely prioritise at this stage, from the non-negotiables in a daily routine, through to the in-clinic treatments that address what skincare simply can't reach, and why starting with a proper consultation rather than a treatment menu changes everything about the outcome 👉🏼

If you'd like to build a plan that's actually tailored to where your skin is right now, that's exactly what I'm here for.

Sculptra is one of my favourites for the patient who says, “I don’t want to look different, I just don’t want to look quite so… deflated.” 😅

It works gradually by stimulating your own collagen, so the result builds over time rather than appearing overnight. That makes it especially useful for softening hollowing, improving support and helping skin feel firmer without creating that “what have you had done?” effect.

It’s not a quick fix, and it’s not right for everyone, but if you’re noticing loss of structure, increasing laxity or that general feeling that your face has changed and you can’t quite put your finger on why, it’s absolutely worth discussing.

Send me a message or tap the link in my bio to book a consultation, and we can work out whether Sculptra makes sense for you. 🤍
