WHAT A BLOODY WEEK! 🏡❤️
I FINALLY COMPLETED MY MORTGAGE! As a single mother of three, running organic, zero-waste shops that actively encourage people to BUY LESS in an economy obsessed with selling us MORE… brutal business model and hard sell but I did it … yey me!!!
I’m so bloody proud and for the first time in a really long time feel safe and I cried ALOT , but incredibly grateful to my phenomenal family, friends and every single one of you supporting my business. I know how privileged I am to have such an incredible village. ❤️
Divorce has taught me how powerful, natural and medicinal love really is, particularly the love of people who consistently show up.
I’ll always be proud I tried so hard, I love so openly but I’ll teach my children that walking away isn’t failure and it’s a new beginning .
I didn’t waste 10 years or two years . I gained the next 50, Even my questionable maths can appreciate that return on investment is brilliant.
And can we PLEASE stop looking down on single mothers? Raising children, running a business and surviving in an economy designed for two incomes is an Olympic sport. Except there’s no medal, no annual leave and someone’s constantly demanding a snack (which half will be left down a sofa to go mouldy FYI so always check haha) .
HUGE thanks to Halifax Bank and my wonderful mortgage adviser Marina, who went above and beyond ! I renovated my house DIY to support my application as I didn’t meet the financial income with the kids expenses removed (they basically took everything haha) - but increasing equity supported the application hugely (top tip)
Here’s to women rebuilding, refusing to give up and proving that ridiculous social stigmas belong in the bin. No boys allowed on my mortgage again either lol! Yey!
Preferably the compost bin. ♻️👑❤️ ps girls if you ever need any help - reach out ❤️
