🖤 **A MESSAGE FROM ALAN AND SIOBHAN AT THE FUNKI BUDDHA TATTOO SHOP** 🖤
Well folks, after 6 absolutely mental years of tattooing, laughs, tears, questionable life choices and turning perfectly good skin into expensive works of art, it’s time for me to share some sad news.
Unfortunately, due to ongoing health problems, The Funki Buddha will be closing its doors permanently 😢
This hasn’t been an easy decision, but unfortunately my health has decided it wants to be the boss for a change. And believe me, I’ve tried negotiating with it, but it’s proving to be a stubborn wee bastard. 😂
I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to every single customer who has walked through our doors over the last 6 years. Whether you came in for a tiny tattoo that took 10 minutes or a full sleeve that took approximately 47 appointments, 3 coffees and a small fortune, you’ve all been part of this journey.
Thank you for trusting me with your skin, sharing your stories, having a laugh, and occasionally asking me to tattoo something that looked absolutely nothing like the blurry screenshot you showed me! 🤣
It’s been an absolute privilege to be part of so many personal stories, memorials, celebrations and questionable drunken ideas that somehow turned into permanent life decisions. No regrets… well, maybe a few! 😂

What can I say about Siobhan? The woman who has spent years sticking needles into people for a living and somehow convincing them to come back for more! 😂
She’s been poking, prodding and accessorising the good people of this town, one piercing at a time. If you’ve ever wanted a hole somewhere nature clearly didn’t intend one, Siobhan was your woman! 🤣
From ears to noses and everything in between, she’s helped you sparkle, shine and jingle when you walk. And let’s be honest, she’s probably seen more people gripping a chair, holding their breath and questioning their life choices than most medical professionals!
A massive thank you to her for being the best part of The Funki Buddha journey. For all the laughs, all the hard work, and for proving that a straight face and a sharp needle can get you through just about anything..Thank you❤️😂
As we bring this chapter to a close, I’ll look back on the last 6 years with nothing but gratitude. We’ve made some incredible memories, met some brilliant people, and built something I’ll always be proud of.
It’s heartbreaking to say goodbye, but health has to come first. I have no plans or ideas of what to do in regard to people having unfinished work but I will try my hardest not to let this beat me but for the moment it’s winning!
I was genuinely so proud of our reputation and the relationships we have built up since we opened in that wee shop across the road. We worked our arses off to try and make the place a safe and welcoming environment for everyone and anyone and hope that we made it a memorable experience for you.
So, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for 6 years of loyalty, laughter, friendship and support. You’ve helped make The Funki Buddha what it was, and I’ll never forget that.
Please keep supporting your local tattoo artists and piercers. They’re a talented bunch of nutters, and the industry needs good people in it. 🖤
The Funki Buddha may be closing its doors, but the memories, the laughs and the questionable tattoos will live on forever! 😂
And remember, tattoos are permanent… unlike businesses and good health, apparently! 🤦♂️🤣
