A little look at Freya Natural Therapy at Denbies!

We were delighted to be part of yesterday's Autumn Market at Denbies W**e Estate, organised by Curated by Dapper & Suave.

We brought along a lovely selection of aromatherapy treats — from our handmade body lotions and essential oil blends to aromatherapy jewellery, diffusers and our new shower steamers.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, browse our products and discover a little more about aromatherapy for everyday life. And thank you to for organising the event.

A very special thank you to my two fabulous helpers! Molly helped me set up the stand and enthusiastically kept a running tally of our sales throughout the day, while Pippa came to the rescue for the mammoth task of packing everything away.

As you can see from the final photograph, Molly was more than ready to put her feet up by the end of the day! I was so proud of her!

We'll be back at Denbies W**e Estate on Sunday 8th November, with plenty of gift ideas as we head towards Christmas.

🕷️ Do conkers REALLY keep spiders away?

Every autumn I faithfully collect conkers on my walks with Cookie and put them around the house in the hope that they'll discourage our eight-legged visitors.

But after some particularly enormous spiders appeared at Meadow Farm this year, I decided to find out whether there was actually any science behind it.

The answer wasn't quite what I expected… 🌰

And then I disappeared down a fascinating scroll hole involving peppermint oil, scientific studies and the extraordinary discovery that spiders can smell with their legs! 😳

One of the things I love most about running a small business is that every batch is made by hand.

This week I prepared a wholesale order of our After Sport Massage Oil for a professional therapist.

Starting with carefully selected carrier oils and pure essential oils, each batch is blended, bottled and labelled here in Surrey.

No factories.

No production lines.

Just small-batch aromatherapy made with care.

Our After Sport blend combines:

🌿 Sweet Marjoram
🌿 Rosemary
🌿 Juniper
🌿 Black Pepper
🌿 Lemon

carefully blended into a nourishing base of olive oil, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil and vitamin E to help leave the skin feeling soft, smooth and cared for.

As I was making this batch, I was reminded just how beautiful this blend smells. The fresh citrus notes of lemon combine with the sweet, herbaceous aroma of marjoram and rosemary to create a light, uplifting fragrance that always makes me pause and take a deep breath.

It was such a lovely day at the Spring Market at Denbies W**e Estate - so many great conversations and a real reminder of why I love what I do!

And don't forget Rosemary is fantastic for memory, Basil helps with focus and Peppermint helps revive you when you are flagging ... all key ingredients in our Focus and Study Pulse Point roll on.
