🐶 Rocky Update! 🩵
We’ve had lots of our lovely 7H clients asking how Rocky is doing, so we thought it was about time we shared a little update on our wannabe ‘Therapy-Dog’! 🥰🐶🩵
We’ve officially made it past the 4-week post-surgery milestone! ✨🙏🏽✨
After rupturing his left knee last summer, spending 12 weeks recovering in a crate, and then somehow managing to go & do exactly the same thing to his other knee, our poor little guy is now back on the long road to recovery all over again! 😫
He’s actually getting quite used to his crate rest now… although he doesn’t really have any other choice! 😂
And when we say crate rest, we mean he is spoilt for choice, with a crate/pen set up in the lounge, dining room, bedroom AND the back garden! Basically, wherever we are, Rocky has his own little recovery suite! 😂🐾
He’s still very much a crazy little Terrier at heart though, so convincing him that resting is in his best interests isn’t always the easiest job! 🤯 Patience has never exactly been one of his strongest traits.
The slightly nerve-wracking part is that his knee has been making a clicking sound, despite him appearing to walk comfortably on it during his little toilet trips outside. We mentioned it to the vet at his 2wk post-surgery check when his stitches were removed, but unfortunately, we won’t know whether everything has healed as it should, or whether he might need further corrective surgery, until his 6wk x-ray. 😫
So, he’s booked in for the scans in 2wks time, and we’re keeping EVERYTHING crossed that we get some good news! 🤞🏽❣️🙏🏽
For now, we continue with lots of rest, lots of cuddles and trying to keep our very impatient little man entertained without letting him do anything he shouldn’t! 🙃
Thank you so much to everyone who has asked after him, sent messages and showered him with love & healing energy. It really does mean so much to us… and we know Rocky absolutely loves all the attention too! 🥰🐶✨
