Hidden Gem Alert!

Modular Threshold Ramps!

Whilst many opt for a simple straight ramp to improve access to homes and businesses, in some instances a straight ramp is not feasible. For example, homes with side entrances often have a wall or fence located near to the front door, meaning there is not space for a straight ramp along with turning space for the user. For businesses, often users may approach the entrance from various directions so it is important that, no matter the direction, visitors can easily access the building.

Modular Threshold Ramps are the perfect access solution for lower heights where space is limited.

The Modular Threshold Ramps can be provided with 2-sided or 3-sided access points, allowing you to approach the ramp and your chosen angle.

Due to the modular design, these threshold ramps can also be purchased with turning platforms, providing a safe place for users to sit when opening or closing the door and allowing users to easily turn before going down the ramp. The ramps can also be created to smoother gradients where preferred, ideal for those using mobility aids with low clearance.

The ramps are provided with no edges as standard to allow them to work with outward-opening doors.

Manufactured from steel, the ramps can be used indoors or outdoors and can be left outside.

Steps and doorways can be challenging for those with limited mobility. Whether you suffer from arthritis, are recovering from surgery or struggle with chronic pain, an Adjustable Half Steps assists in reducing the distance from the ground to the step or doorway, making it easier and safer to access your home or garden.

Upgrading your property's accessibility doesn't have to mean disruptive construction work. For those seeking a semi-permanent solution which can be left in place for several months or years, a Modular Ramp is often the perfect solution.

With our Modular Wheelchair Ramp Systems, you get a fully custom accessibility setup that works around your specific property constraints, whether you are overcoming a high height or need multiple turning platforms to ensure the ramp fits in the space available.

Because modular ramps don't require structural property modifications, they are ideal for:
• Renters who do not have permission to install a concrete ramp
• Homeowners planning to sell in the near future who may be concerned that a permanent feature could devalue the property
• Homeowners planning to renovate the property in the future and therefore do not wish to install a permanent ramp
• Businesses with leased properties who are not permitted to install permanent structures
• Commercial & listed buildings requiring non-invasive access
• Those who cannot have a permanent structure as they need access to the area beneath, for instance to access essential drains for maintenance works

At The Ramp People we have a dedicated Modular Team on hand to provide guidance and advice. Simply send across measurements of your doorway and pictures of your home or business so we can create a solution which fits your area and meets your mobility needs.
