Good morning, lovely souls ๐Ÿ’œโœจ

Just a little post to apologise for being so quiet on here over the past few days!

We had a lovely weekend celebrating Greyson's birthday, so the whole weekend was pretty much dedicated to him, and social media took a bit of a back seat. ๐Ÿฅฐ

Then Monday morning came around, and I woke up with the most horrendous pain in my back! ๐Ÿ˜ฉ Turns out I've pulled a muscle, and I've been in absolute agony ever since. So, apart from trying to keep myself moving as per the doctor's orders, I've not been doing much else!

Unfortunately, I've had to cancel my clients this week, which I absolutely hate doing, but sometimes we've got to listen to our own bodies too. All appointments will, of course, be rearranged. ๐Ÿ’œ

On a more positive note, my November diary is now open for bookings! โœจ

If you're fancying a little time for yourself, whether that's Reiki, sound healing, a lovely relaxing massage or another treatment, just pop me a message with roughly when you're looking for. Whether it's daytime, evening or weekend appointments, I'll happily let you know what I've got available. ๐ŸŒฟ

For now, though, I'm off to college to try and muster my way through a day of counselling theory whilst my back is screaming at me! ๐Ÿ˜‚

And if you've ever sat on the new chairs at college, you'll know they're about as comfortable as sitting on a brick! Although, apparently, the doctor reckons a firmer seat is better for my back, so who knows... today might actually turn out to be a day of absolute bliss! ๐Ÿคฃ

Hope you're all having a lovely week so far, and thank you for bearing with me. ๐Ÿ’œโœจ

๐Ÿ’ญ Do you ever replay conversations afterwards?

You know when you've had a completely normal conversation with someone and then later your brain decides to hold a full investigation into it? ๐Ÿ˜‚
Did I say too much?

Did that sound weird?
Why did I say it like that?
Were they annoyed with me?
I should've said this instead...

And sometimes the other person has probably gone home and not given the conversation another thought.

There can be loads of reasons we do this. Maybe we're worried about being misunderstood, judged or upsetting somebody. Maybe we've learnt to be really aware of other people's moods and reactions. Or maybe we're just someone who processes things afterwards and likes to make sense of what happened.

A little reflection can be useful โ€” especially if there's something we genuinely want to learn from or handle differently next time.

But there's a difference between reflecting and replaying.

Reflection might sound like:
โ€œI don't think I handled that how I wanted to. What can I take from it?โ€

Replaying is more like going over the same conversation for the 47th time when there's absolutely nothing you can do with it. ๐Ÿ˜‚
Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that we don't need to perfectly explain ourselves in every conversation. We can't control how everybody interprets us. And we don't need to analyse every facial expression, pause or change in someone's tone.

Sometimes a conversation can just be... a conversation.

Are you someone who replays conversations afterwards, or can you just say what you've got to say and move on with your day? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’œ

A little bit of mum and son time in the treatment room tonight ๐Ÿ’œโœจ

Greyson has always been quite anxious when it comes to new people and unfamiliar situations, and we noticed it a lot with his swimming lessons. Every time he moved up a group and had a new teacher, he'd get himself so worked up. Sometimes it'd take us 10โ€“15 minutes just to get him comfortable enough to sit on the edge of the pool.

He stopped his lessons a while back, but since he's been swimming with his friends at school, he's decided he wants to go back! ๐Ÿฅฐ

He's got his assessment on Thursday, and he's already told me he's worried about having a new teacher. So we've decided to do a little bit of Reiki over the next few days. I'm not expecting it to magically take his worries away, but if it helps him feel a little calmer and takes the edge off, then that's good enough for me. ๐Ÿ’œ

He's always loved Reiki anyway, and I love how interested he is in it all. He's forever asking questions! He doesn't like closing his eyes during it either, so he keeps them open, which is absolutely fine. Whatever makes him feel comfortable.

He absolutely loved tonight and couldn't wait to get his hands on the sound bowls afterwards ๐Ÿซฃ Although he definitely doesn't play them as gently as I do! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ He had a good go on the ocean drum and chimes too.

I just think it's lovely getting children involved in things like Reiki and sound from a young age. Giving them that little bit of time to relax, switch off and just enjoy themselves.

And it's a lovely bit of one-to-one time for us too, which I absolutely love. ๐Ÿ’œโœจ

Does anyone else's little one struggle with new situations, even when it's something they really want to do?

12/10/2026

๐Ÿ’ญ Why does the ONE bad thing always seem to stick?

You can have a genuinely lovely day. Ten things can go right, someone can give you a compliment, you can have a good laugh, get something done you've been putting off, have a lovely conversation...

Then one person says something that pi**es you off.

And guess which bit your brain decides to replay while you're lying in bed? ๐Ÿ˜‚

There's actually a name for this ... negativity bias.

Our brains naturally tend to give more attention and weight to negative experiences than positive ones. From an evolutionary point of view, noticing potential threats and remembering things that went wrong was pretty useful for keeping us safe.

The problem is, our brain doesn't only use that system for actual danger. It can latch onto the awkward conversation. The criticism. The thing that didn't go to plan. The person who didn't reply. The one mistake amongst everything you got right.
And suddenly that one thing can feel bigger than everything else that happened that day.

That's why consciously noticing what's going well can actually be useful. Not because we need to be positive all the time, and definitely not because we should ignore difficult feelings or pretend everything is wonderful when it isn't.It's simply about giving the good stuff some attention too.

So before today is over, have a little think...
What went right today that your brain might have completely skimmed over? ๐Ÿ’œโœจ

Good morning and happy Sunday! โ˜•๐Ÿ’œ

Another early morning for me! Sometimes your body clock just is what it is, isn't it? ๐Ÿ˜‚

I'm on my second coffee already, my brain's wide awake but my body's definitely still half asleep!

I'm feeling all the massages I've been doing over the last couple of weeks today. My whole body's aching a little. Nothing a nice hot bath and a bit of relaxation won't sort out though. Think I need to book myself in for a full body massage after giving everyone else one! ๐Ÿ˜‚

So today is going to be a nice slow Sunday. I've got mountains of washing to get through, but other than that, I'm planning on taking it easy and giving my body a bit of the rest it's clearly asking for.

Sometimes you've just got to listen to your body, haven't you? ๐Ÿ’œโœจ

So tell me, what's your kind of perfect Sunday? ๐Ÿฅฐ Are you up and out making the most of the day, or are you more of a slow morning, endless coffees, hot baths and absolutely no rushing kind of person? โ˜•๐Ÿ›๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ˜‚

What a lovely, busy day it's been! ๐Ÿ’œโœจ

Woke up this morning absolutely shattered, even after an early night, so after making myself a brew I decided to take it back to bed and ended up falling asleep again! ๐Ÿ˜‚

When I woke back up, I was so tempted to cancel my plans and just stay home in the warm, pottering about. But I've been doing that a little too often lately, so I gave myself a nudge and off I went!

Spent the morning at the beautiful Oldham Parish Church for a crypt tour and coffee morning. It was actually really interesting learning about the history of the church, how it's changed and been built upon over the centuries, and some of the fascinating people buried there. Even got to see an absolutely enormous lead coffin belonging to a bit of an Oldham legend! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Then home for another lovely massage client this afternoon, which turned into a three-hour visit after we ended up chatting away! ๐Ÿฅฐ

And now I'm absolutely ready for bed!

I haven't got everything done today, but I've done what mattered, enjoyed myself and made time for something a little different.

It's reminded me that although I absolutely love being home in my own little bubble, sometimes I need to push myself to get out and do the things I've made plans to do.

There's a difference between resting because you need to and staying in because it's just easier.

And today I'm really glad I chose to go. ๐Ÿ’œโœจ

Good morning everyone ๐Ÿ’œโœจ

Well, it's Thursday already! I genuinely don't know where this week's gone ๐Ÿ˜‚

It's been a busy few days over here, and I feel like my brain's got about 27 tabs open at once!

Just thought I'd pop on, say hello and see how everyone's doing.

How's October treating you so far? ๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŽƒ

Anyone got anything nice planned for the weekend, or are we all just winging it at this point? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’œ

05/10/2026

Good morning ๐Ÿ’œโœจ

Happy Monday! I hope everyone has a lovely week ahead.

Thereโ€™s something about how we start a Monday that can sometimes set the tone for the rest of the week. But that doesnโ€™t mean you have to wake up feeling positive, motivated and ready to take on the world.

Maybe youโ€™ve woken up feeling low today. Maybe your mental health isnโ€™t great, youโ€™re feeling poorly, youโ€™ve got things weighing on your mind, or youโ€™re just having one of those mornings.

You donโ€™t have to pretend those things arenโ€™t there.

But maybe, amongst all of that, see if you can notice something good too.

Even the rain this morningโ€ฆ ๐ŸŒง๏ธ
It can feel dark, miserable and gloomy to us, but that same rain is watering the trees and grass, filling ponds, giving birds somewhere to drink and nourishing everything outside that needs it.

Same rain. Just another way of looking at it.

Sometimes looking for the good doesnโ€™t mean ignoring the hard stuff. Itโ€™s simply reminding ourselves that the hard stuff isnโ€™t always the only thing there.

So whatever kind of Monday youโ€™re having, try to find one little thing that feels good today. A warm brew. A cosy house. Someone you love. A song you enjoy. Five quiet minutes to yourself.

Whatโ€™s one little positive you can find in your Monday morning? ๐Ÿ’œโœจ
