Last night's support group for people with endometriosis and adenomyosis.

For some this was first time they had attended a support group.

There were partners, sisters and friends also attending.

It's my aim to make this as inclusive as possible as no one should feel alone.

Hearing stories about:

🎗️30+ years of living with conditions
🎗️Fertility issues
🎗️Loneliness
🎗️Losing ourselves - our hobbies our interests, food we once enjoyed
🎗️Feeling unheard
🎗️Complicated hospital appointments

This is not good enough and we should not accept that this is our normal!

It's a hope we will hold these groups monthly where possible.

Thank you Stacey for your support in offering us your space at Dottir Wellbeing centre.

Last night we welcomed a beautiful group of women to the centre for our Endometriosis & Adenomyosis Support Group, hosted by the lovely Nicola from Nic 🤍 Aroha Healing 💛

There were tears, laughter, shared experiences and plenty of understanding.

Some women came looking for support for themselves, others came to learn more about what their loved ones experience living with these conditions every single day.

Different stories, different experiences, but one thing in common – the importance of feeling heard, understood and not alone.

A huge thank you to Nicola for creating such a safe and welcoming space, and to every woman who came along and shared a little piece of their story.

And this isn’t the last one! We will be holding another Endometriosis & Adenomyosis Support Group before Christmas, so keep your eyes peeled for details.

This is what Dottir is all about. More than a gym, a place where women can come together, support one another and know they don’t have to navigate things alone. 💛

You're Allowed to be Proud of Yourself and how far you've come.

Even if, and especially if you're not to where you want to be yet.

At Least You’re Trying.

And You’re Putting in the Effort.

It Will Come with Time.

So keep it up.

Keep Putting in the Self-Work.

And be Proud of Who You are.

So, be Proud of Yourself 🫶
