Phoenix Holistic Health Holistic health service for those wanting an alternative way to heal their mindset and bodies. Hi and thanks for finding out more about my page and me. What?

My name is Lesley Ford and I am the founder of Phoenix Holistic Health UK Ltd. I came into the holistic therapy world in the late 1990's when I was suffering from M.E. (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) within which I had a period of 2 years having to go shopping in a wheelchair as I had no energy to walk long distances, and after my GP told me that there was no specific treatemt for this condition and the only options for me was to go on anti-depressants, I started to investigate how else I could help myself recover. My journey back to full health was a long one (9 years in total) as I was stubborn and would not listen to my body! I suffered from panic attacks, migraines, no or very low energy, attention deifict and I could only focus on looking at pictures, no text, and eventually a friend recommended I see a homeopath. was my reaction! I had no idea what that type of therapy was!! My first experience with my 'homeopath' was something I had never experienced before with any health professional, someone sitting there and listening to me for once, he took my 'full case' and worked out my constitutional remedy and my recovery started. My recovery took about 18 months to 2 years to become what I would say 'being fully back to normal' but each small step was attributed to Homeopathy, and as such, I decided to look for a short course to help my young family at the time whenever they became ill, alas there were none and all I could find was a 4 year part time course to become a Registered Homeopath, so I trained and qualified in 2005, I then went on to study my Post Graduate in Homeoapthy for another 2 years. I worked full time in another business role whilst still practising in a very part time capacity within my practice. It was in 2019, that I was made redundant from my full time business role and I decided that now was the time to launch my dream of my full time practice to help others. Phoenix Holistic Health UK Ltd was set up in December 2019 and I now also have added Coaching to my skillset, covering NLP, (Neuro Linguistic Programming, Law of Attraction, and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique- also known as Tapping. I am happy to say that I now enjoy FULL health and have done so for many years now and am honoured by the fact that I am here to help others heal themsleves. When I was at my lowest health I had to give up my job and had very little finances to cope and having to find more money for holistic treatment seemed daunting at the time, and so, with that in mind, I have set up a monthly payment option for those that want the treatment but with flexibility on payment. BONUS- also included in the monthly payment plan is the basic 18 remedy kit (RRP 29.99) for you to keep at home , and comes to you after the first monthly payment has been received. You can also pay per treatment if you wish. Coaching 1-2-1 and mindset courses are available, please ask for more details, where I explore with you your limiting beliefs and values that are embedded in your subconscious mind and may have been holding you back from achieving your own dreams in your life. Wishing you a wonderful day and thanks for dropping by, if you would like to have an informal chat about how I can help you gain optimum health or a better mindset, then please do contact me for a free chat. Why anxiety feels worse at night

Have you ever noticed how worries seem louder at night?

It’s not your imagination.

When the day quiets down, there are fewer distractions — so the mind replays what hasn’t been resolved.

An overactive nervous system turns bedtime into a battleground instead of a rest.

Hypnotherapy helps calm those patterns, so the mind can finally switch off.

You don’t need a breakdown to justify a breakthrough.
You don’t have to hit rock bottom before you get to reset.

If it’s quietly exhausting… that’s enough.
If it’s messing with your confidence… that’s enough.
You can make a shift without drama.
Quiet change counts.

Last week, I got stuck in traffic on the way to a meeting.

Within seconds, my brain whispered: “You’re going to be late… you’ll look unprofessional… this will ruin the whole day.” And those thoughts started to spiral right there and then, stress, tension, the whole party.

In reality?
I arrived five minutes early.

That thought felt real — but it wasn’t a fact. It was just old wiring, sounding the alarm. That belief had hypnotised me into thinking I wasn't worthy to go to that meeting and my whole body reacted into expecting humilation.

That’s how the mind works. Only 5% of behaviour is conscious. The other 95% is unconscious — where old patterns live.

The breakthrough is recognising: a thought is not a fact.
When the unconscious loosens its grip, life feels lighter, calmer, and freer.

The next time your brain tells you "I'm doomed, it's fate or even karma" catch the thought in its tracks, and remind yourself thoughts are not facts.

Have you ever watched Harry Potter and felt a little bit sorry for Dobby?

That loyal, devoted little house elf who just wanted to protect Harry. Who would do absolutely anything to keep him safe. But sometimes, in his desperation to help, he'd cause absolute chaos.

Your unconscious mind is a lot like Dobby.

It is completely devoted to you. Every behaviour, every habit, every pattern that feels like it's holding you back, the procrastinating, the people pleasing, the avoiding, the overthinking, that is your Dobby, doing what he thinks is best for you.

It genuinely believes it's protecting you.

But just like Dobby, sometimes the intention is absolutely right, and the ex*****on is a little bit... chaotic.

Watch the video to find out more about your very own Dobby and that inner strength that is already yours.

The 3-second rule
When everything feels like too much, it’s not motivation you need — it’s permission to pause.

The 3-second rule isn’t about rushing into more work.
It’s about taking three seconds to breathe before you react, decide, or reply.

In those few seconds, you stop your mind from spiralling, your stress from leading the way, and you give yourself a moment of control.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is not act immediately.

How much is smoking actually costing you now?

£10–£15 a day…
Around ÂŁ5,475 a year

But the real cost isn’t just money.

It’s the reliance.

Reaching for one when you’re stressed
Planning your day around it
Saying “I’ll stop soon”… but not quite doing it

At some point, it can start to feel like you’re a prisoner in your own body.

Doing something you don’t even want to do anymore…
but still being pulled back into it

Almost like something else is calling the shots

And that’s where it gets frustrating.

Because you don’t actually want to keep doing it
You just haven’t found a way out yet

You don’t want another attempt
You want to feel back in control

If you’re ready to change this, you can book a free, no-obligation call with me and we’ll talk it through.

GLP-1 jabs may change your appetite.

But what happens when the injections stop?

I talked about this yesterday, on the Lesley Logic video, something I don't think gets discussed enough.

Because for some people, the jab does exactly what it's meant to. It reduces appetite. It quietens the food noise. It creates a different starting point.

But if someone has spent years seeing themselves as the comfort eater, the stress eater, the one who always struggles, changing appetite alone doesn't automatically change that identity.

And identity matters more than most people realise.

This isn't about willpower. It's about understanding that long-term change often runs deeper than appetite.

If it resonates, feel free to share. Someone in your world might need to hear this.

Most people think change happens when you make a decision
and then keep forcing yourself to stick to it.

But constantly re-deciding often keeps habits alive.

Not because you’re failing —
but because the mind stays in negotiation mode.

Here’s what’s usually missed:

If a habit keeps returning, it isn’t stubborn.
It’s protecting something.

At some point, that habit did a job.
It reduced stress, created relief, or helped you cope in a particular chapter of life.

So when you try to change the behaviour without understanding that role,
the mind steps back in to keep things as they are.

This is why willpower alone feels exhausting.

Lasting change doesn’t come from deciding harder.
It comes from settling the decision —
by understanding what the habit was doing
and recognising when it’s no longer needed.

When identity becomes clear,
the habit has nothing left to attach to.

You don’t outgrow habits by fighting them.
You outgrow them by understanding them.
