Join us for a free Savasana Summit as we celebrate yoga’s most powerful pose and explore what it means to rest, soften, and be fully present.

A quote from the forthcoming book I’ve written with my daughter Lizzie Lasater, "Śavāsana: The Practice of Radical Rest"

The instructor has had years, maybe decades of practise. Start wherever you are and practise when you can.

Last week of classes before a break, classes begin again in November.

Can anyone relate?? 🤣🤣 We certainly can 😅We all start somewhere! Make sure that you share this with someone that would love it!

As a teacher it is interesting to see this in action, and to experience it in practice.

The body can be busy while the practice remains dull.

We may attend class, move through a complete sequence and perform every action the teacher gives us. Yet inwardly, we may simply be repeating what we already know.

The feet go where they usually go.
The arms rise in the familiar way.
The pose is held for the expected time.

Nothing appears to be wrong—but nothing new is being investigated.

Guruji B.K.S. Iyengar said:
“To be dull is easy; to be active requires tremendous work.”

To be active does not necessarily mean practicing faster, working harder physically or doing more difficult poses.

It means refusing to practice mechanically.

Can we return to a familiar āsana without assuming that we already understand it?
Can we recognize an old habit as it begins?
Can we respond to today’s instruction instead of relying entirely on yesterday’s experience?

This is the tremendous work: awakening the mind inside the action, again and again.

The pose may be familiar.
Our participation does not have to be.

💬 Which part of your practice have you been repeating on autopilot?
Practice with us. Comment “JOIN CLASS” and we’ll share the details.
