You can’t spoil them with love ❤️
Responding to babies’ needs for comfort and food is hugely beneficial for brain development and makes for more confident toddlers. ❤️
You can't spoil a baby. Contrary to popular myth, it's impossible for parents to hold or respond to a baby too much! ❤️
So enjoy this special time ❤️

Lets talk Breasts 🩷

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month; breast cancer can affect males and females as we all have breast tissue. 🩷💙

Its important to check your breasts preconception, in pregnancy and post birth.

Pregnancy hormones can bring a lot of unexpected changes to our breasts, this is down to the hormonal changes and preparation to feed your baby. 🩷

You may notice:
• Changes in size or shape
• Changes in skin colour
• Increased sensitivity
• Visible veins

Breastfeeding reduces your lifetime risk of breast cancer by roughly 2%. The longer you breastfeed for, the more you lower your risk. 🩷

Seek support or medical advice if you notice any changes

Why is skin to skin contact so important post birth 🧐❤️‍🩹

❤️ it stimulates baby’s immunity
💚 stabilises baby’s body temperature
💛 helps establish a close bonding between baby and parents
💙 reduces the risk of postpartum depression
💜decreases bleeding
🧡 lowers the stress levels of the baby
🤍 encourages milk supply
❤️‍🩹 stimulates oxytocin which has many benefits as it increases relaxation, lowers stress and anxiety, lowers blood pressure, and causes muscle contractions. Oxytocin is also the hormone involved in social relationships, bonding, trust, and love.
