Did you know that around 90% of piercings will need to be downsized during the healing process?

Your initial jewellery is fitted with extra room to accommodate swelling, but once that swelling settles, that extra length can start causing problems.

Not downsizing your jewellery can lead to:

👂Irritation bumps
👂Snagging and accidental trauma
👂Migration and changes in piercing angle
👂Prolonged or problematic healing
👂Increased risk of your piercing becoming irritated or damaged

A downsize isn’t just about how your jewellery looks 💚 it’s an important part of looking after your piercing.

Most piercings should be assessed for downsizing at around 6–8 weeks, although this varies depending on the piercing and how it’s healing. Speak to your piercer!

Don’t wait until there’s a problem!

Book your downsize appointment and give your piercing the best chance of healing beautifully. 💚
