🎃 A Spooktacular Memory Café 👻

Pumpkin pictures, colourful creations and lovely conversations filled our Halloween themed Memory Café! 🎨🧡 Using different materials to create their pumpkins, everyone had the chance to get creative while chatting and reminiscing about the past. 🍂

☕ A safe space, a cup of tea, a listening ear.

We are delighted to be welcoming a new Bereavement Café to Hampden House, offering a warm, friendly and supportive space for anyone in our local community who has experienced loss. 💜

We understand that grief can be a lonely journey, and sometimes simply being around others who understand can bring a little comfort.

Whether you would like to share your story, listen to others, enjoy a gentle activity or simply sit with a cup of tea, you will always be welcome.

There is no pressure to talk, no expectations and no right or wrong way to grieve.

We held a lovely afternoon at Hampden House with tea, cake and live piano music by David to raise awareness of breast cancer and show support for one of our wonderful colleagues. 🥰🎀

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it special.

We’re still collecting donations until Monday. If you’re visiting Hampden House, you’ll find the donation pot in reception. Every contribution is greatly appreciated.

🍎🍏 Celebrating National Apple Day 🍏🍎

We put our taste buds to the test with an apple tasting session, trying six different varieties and judging them on flavour, sweetness, crunch and more! 🍎

Along the way, we learnt about their origins and shared lovely memories of apple trees in back gardens and homemade apple pies.

And the winner? Pink Lady! 🏆🍎

💗 Breast Cancer Fundraiser at Hampden House 💗

Tomorrow, Thursday 22nd October, we’re coming together to raise money for breast cancer support as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Join us in the Harewood Lounge at 2pm for a cuppa, cake and a lovely live piano recital. 🎹☕🍰

If you have something pink, wear it with pride and help us turn Hampden House pink! 🌸 Every donation is appreciated.

We had a little Mad Hatter fun at Hampden! 🎩☕
Residents got creative making their own crazy hats, followed by a lovely cuppa and a good chat. Plenty of imagination went into those hats! 😄
